Beginning guitar is all about finding the motivation to get the student through the first stages. You'll have fun while learning good habits and getting your fingers to the point where they can play what you want.
The best guitar lessons are multi-faceted from the beginning. You start playing songs right away, all the while learning other things about music, good habits, simple songs, and helpful hints.
No experience is necessary to start picking up simple techniques that get you musical as soon as possible. Even at the very beginning, when we're learning simple scales and chords, every effort is made to help exercises not merely produce the tones required, but in a musical, emotionally-connecting way.
Music is the language of emotion, and you can learn that language.
We focus on:
Keeping the student interested and having fun while learning,
Working at the pace of the individual students,
Keeping the student's goals in mind,
Helping the student break ...

Bachelor of Music: Classical Guitar Performance from Hartt School - University of Hartford
Intervals, triads and progressions.
I am a Hartt School of Music trained classical guitarist raised on the electric guitar. With over 20 years of teaching experience, I have helped students of all ages achieve their musical goals. Whether it's getting into the school jazz band, a college degree program or simply playing for friends,
In the time I have been studying with Tim, I have done more than I thought I ever could. I went from a frustrated beginner guitar player to having enough confidence to play on stage with some of Tim’s other students and I am now looking forward to what I will be able to do on the guitar instead of being frustrated with what I can’t do.
Tim is a talented and passionate musician as well as a knowledgeable and very relatable instructor which is a rare combination and he's also a really great guy and any student of any age or ability will benefit from studying with him.
