Great first lesson! I'm looking forward to digging deeper into the verb tenses and to continue conversing in Spanish. Power point, Google, all sort of visuals have been used and they all made our lesson not just a virtual encounter but a real life experience. Thank you!

For my lessons, what do I value?

• Non-Traditional learning
• Emphasis on real spoken English
• Critical thinking over rote memorization

Come try a class with me!

About Seth
Hi everyone! My name is Seth. I joined with the intention of continuing my experience in the ESL field. I have some experience teaching ESL in El Salvador as well as a volunteering experience. One of my goals is to better develop lesson plans. I enjoy being able to help students through challenges and difficulties in a way that truly relates to them, not simply from a textbook.

A few years ago, I received a CELTA Certification for teaching non-native English speakers. Also, during my teaching experience, I've been able to calibrate my teaching strategies to better serve my students.

I hope that I can be of help to you in any way possible as you progress in the English language. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, I'd be happy to speak with you further.

Hello! I've taught ESL for 7 years using a highly effective curriculum for students in Egypt, China, and Ukraine. I use an intensive and fun method designed to help students in the most effective and natural manner.

I grew up in Chicago, studied English Literature, and have a love of teaching. I've taught beginner adults and children to advanced learners who need especially challenging courses.

To give you an idea of how lessons work; In the first class I figure out what level you are and what grammar you need. After finding your interests and I formulate lesson plans around them. We cover listening just as intensively as pronunciation. Everything we learn in grammar will be immediately applied to conversation. I don't do boring and will make sure you're having fun and staying motivated!

Practicing between classes is just as important. Every class is a leveling up and in order to do that, practice and vocabulary accumulation is needed in-between lessons. We'll figure out how many ...

About Rose
Hello! My name is Rose. When I was a teenage backpacker, I began teaching English to friends I made in different countries who are still my friends today. After over 7 years of traveling, teaching and experimenting with different methods and learner types, I found that the uniting quality in effective lessons is that they build confidence through fun, motivation and the exploration of new worlds that language opens up.

Learning a new language literally increases the size of your brain. When I was learning, I discovered a new part of myself and became a fuller person. Learning new languages has helped me find the courage to do many more things. Its helped me try acting, creative writing and eventually I gained the confidence to direct the scripts that I wrote. The friendships I gained also happened because I put in effort to know the lan
guage. My reality is totally different inside and out and I'm really glad for it!

I've tried all sorts of methods and have dissected military courses for language acquisition as well a experimental approaches. I have around 8 different approaches that I take for learners of a specific type and need. Everyone is an individual, so I customize lessons for each person's needs and interests.

Rose is a unique tutor with an amazing educational background. Rose didn't give me only grammar and vocabulary but also the cultural contexts. We dealt with a long list of topics that were challenging and interesting. More importantly she has this bubbly engaging personality that keeps lessons fun and always learning something new keeps me motivated. Thanks Rose
