I love how well she works with children. She has a lot of patience and uses a polite and friendly tone that my daughter works well with. My daughter has excelled tremendously within the 1st month in a half with Ms. Ervin being her teacher. I Highly recommend her.

I have been the principal bassist of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra since 2017. Upright bass is the only instrument that I perform on professionally but I've been playing piano since I was seven years old. My teaching is influenced by a lot of my experience as a professional upright bass player. I start off my young piano students in the Piano Adventures books and I start adults in the Bastian Piano for Adults. Both of these series give a solid foundation and present new concepts at a good pace. I also use materials by Bartok, Hanon, Czerny, and other composers to fit individual students' needs.

About Cory

I have been the principal bassist of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra since 2017 and professor of double bass at Nazareth College since 2019. I grew up around Atlanta, GA and started playing piano when I was around 7 years old and bass and guitar when I was 11. Most of my education has been

Cory was an awesome & patient piano teacher for my 4 year old son. He did hands on training and gave him work to do on his own which helped tremendously! Thanks Cory!!!!

My experience with Cory has been excellent. He is a good teacher who knows how to keep me going and understands my goals. I have temporarily with- drawn from the program as the erratic nature of my life and travel requirements makes it difficult for me to schedule reliably. Also, some problems with the communication software have, at times, made the learning difficult. Please understand that my decision to stop is in no way a reflection on Cory or his teaching ability. I will be glad to re-connect with him when conditions permit.

Hello! I began studying piano when I was 4 through the Suzuki method and started teaching when I moved to San Francisco to start school. I am dedicated to the Suzuki method and believe in it; in case you're unfamiliar with the Suzuki method, it's a way of approaching music that focuses on fundamentals, developing the ear, and learning through emulation rather than solely on reading and theory. As someone who was taught by a more traditional teacher who was a strict adherent to the Suzuki method timeline, I have found myself to be much more flexible teacher who really wants to structure the lessons around the student to maximize an enjoyable relationship with the piano and music. For adults, of course, we start looking at reading pretty much from the beginning whereas for children, we steer clear of reading for a bit. I have a dog and two cats who are super friendly and who love to sit and listen to the piano lessons (I have had a few students who are scared) - just FYI! Looking ...

I teach beginning piano to students who are trying to learn musicianship for fun or for use in music theory or for help learning other instruments.

I also teach students for the CM and ABRSM exams and can teach serious classical music at any level when requested by parents.

I try to approach piano for young students in a fun manner so they will like to practice on their own while continuing to reach their goals.

I love to teach students of any age, but I specialize in teaching 4-12 year olds and adult beginners how to play.

I believe it is important to foster a child's growth of not just music but of learning any subject through what they learn in piano from finding patterns, focus, musical understanding and expression, through to time management. My goal is to get students to develop both their creative and their analytical abilities.

Alexandra is everything you could ever want in a first-rate teacher: she is inspiring, devoted, nurturing, exciting, knowledgeable, a fierce advocate for her students - the list goes on and on. However, what makes Alexandra truly remarkable is her almost magical ability to instantly spark intrinsic motivation - and a love of music - in all of her students. If you are looking to learn from a truly life-changing teacher, look no further than Alexandra Perdew-Bhatt.

Alexandra has met all my expectations. She is very patient. I feel like we are moving along at a good pace. I had zero musical experience and after only 3 lessons can read basic sheet music and actually have music come out of the piano!! I am enjoying the whole process.

"Sally has taught piano for over 15 years with her husband Tim. Tim teaches voice and has professional singing experience with San Diego Opera. There teaching style has provided a structured environment with very patient, encouraging tone so the most timid of students will want to learn. Students with learning challenges have done well with their program. Periodic recitals and music competitions are scheduled during the year to showcase each students learning accomplishments. Both Tim and Sally are loving people and would welcome anyone who desires to learn piano, guitar, violin, and voice from their experienced teachers."

"I had piano lessons with Ardalan. His talent in playing piano along with his broad knowledge in music had made him a very professional and trustworthy teacher. Moreover, Ardalan is a Medical Doctor and always teaches you how to play piano to not hurt muscles and joints which is very important for beginner players who just started to form their style. He is kind and takes time to design the best teaching program which suites you the best. However, he is serious about the exercises you have to do during the week. Also, he is very organized, he is on time and never cancels the classes and doesn't allow you to cancel the class because of not practicing :)"

"Very Pleased

My daughter has been taking piano lessons from Mr. Keene for 5 months. She had taken lessons in the past, but because we moved hadn't continued for 2 years. In these 5 short months she has learned more than she did in a year of prior lessons. Mr. Keene is calm, patient and teaches respectfully. Although I am pleased with what she has accomplished so far, I am most pleased with the fact that she has acquired a passion for music which wasn't there before."

"As an adult student transitioning to a new instrument, I can wholeheartedly endorse Inna as a fantastic teacher. She's patient, calm, knowledgeable and encouraging. Her lessons are fun with useful drills and advice to increase your skill but also spends time each lesson on pieces that are more fun to keep it interesting. My speed, confidence and technique have all noticeably improved in only a short time thanks to her tutelage. I hope to continue improving with her help in the future!"
