I'm Alyssa and I am excited to share my love of dance with you.
My Passion for dance began at a young age, and has carried through my life. Not only has dance been part of my life, but also I continue to explore dance within educational settings. I studied dance pedagogy during my time in undergraduate studies and received a Bachelor's of Science in Dance Pedagogy. Following graduation, I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to study dance and religion, where I received my Masters in Arts in Arts and Religion. In addition to my academic studies, I have been gaining practical knowledge and experience as a dance teacher. Through my years of experience and study, I’ve gained the reputation to guarantee great results, and the skills to get my students to excel in a variety of subjects.
I teach students with a wide array of educa
I look forward to connecting with you and dancing together!
I am currently immersed in the Theatrical Dance world, and would love to help you learn all about it! Tap is all about ankle and weight control, and can be fun--and challenging--for anyone. I will teach you a combo, and give you feedback as we strengthen both your tap technique and your interpretation of choreography.
I've been dancing for nearly 20 years, singing for nearly 15, and have lots of experience taking those talents out into the real world. If you're looking for training in the DANCE world (ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, theatre) or the VOCAL world (musical theatre, classical, pop/rock, or jazz) -- I'm the girl for you. I am a spitfire, and a smart coach who simply loves to teach. Let's have some serious fun together, shall we?

I am currently a professional dancer with The Georgia Ballet in Marietta. It is my third season with the company and my third year teaching ballet and other dance classes to students around the greater Atlanta area.
Having been a student myself not too long ago I understand that each dancer learns differently, and their strengths and weakness' can be far from what a full class for 20 plus students could be working on.
My goal is to help beginners learn the basics of ballet, tap or jazz to help strengthen their technquie/understanding, help improve experienced dancers to achieve their full potential or just to learn choreography and have fun dancing! Come dance with me! :)
I've had most of my ballet training in Austin,TX under the Royal Academy of Dance, Vaganova, and Bournonville styles. I've attended numerous summer intensives including Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet, Ballet Austin and Joffery Ballet Chicago to name a few. During my school years I also had training in jazz, tap and musical theater. After high school I spent a year at University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a concentration in ballet along with contemporary, partnering, and choreography.
I've taught tap and jazz classes in Austin, Tx and would love to start teaching those again in Atlanta! I can create a solo for a competition, YAGP, or just learn choreography for fun. :)
I've been dancing since I was about 5 years old and it has brought me much joy and m
