About Jonathan "JC"
Hello! Bonjour! I believe the best way to teach is to make it simple and fun! I am patient and dedicated to your success. -------- QUALITY FIRST -------- Everybody wants the best. I believe quality is the most important. I also believe each person is unique, therefore each student should have tailored lessons. -------- HAPPY TEACHING -------- Teaching should be a positive and fun experience. I believe in a personalized and genuine approach. In my experience the benefits are enormous: we save a lot of time, energy, and since it is way more suited to the student, we are more efficient = happy! Hopefully Wisdom will come out of this process. All we need is a little support to all grow together.
-------- PHOTOGRAPHY -------- Photography has been my full-time job since 2003. I am a 34-year-old French-American man living and working
in Minneapolis Minnesota. I have +16 years of expertise as a professional photographer. Recent clients include Porsche Minneapolis, Taste of the NFL, Medal of Honor Convention Twin Cities, and Women's Leadership Trust Forum. I will be your teacher today.
-------- WHY THE MOVE TO THE USA? -------- I am a husband and step-father who moved to Minnesota in 2015 to live with the wife Sophia and 2 kids: Blake and Samara, 16 and 14. They all are musicians or artists.
-------- MY FRENCH HERITAGE -------- From 1995 to 2002 I primarily I studied French literature, English literature, and German, and even Russian for 3 years when I was in high school in France.
I was born in France so the language is my mother's tongue. My parents are Monique and Alain, typical French names. I have an older brother (Frédéric) and a younger sister (Johanna) who lives in Québec, Canada now. I do not practice German and Russian at the moment but I am a specialist of French language. If you want to test my French here I am!
-------- LE TEST FRANÇAIS: BIEN, OU QUOI ? -------- Comme on dit en français: "quand on me cherche on me trouve !"
-------- MY PASSION FOR SOCIAL WORK -------- In 2015, before I moved to the USA, I was the President of nonprofit organization Association Sunyoga France, French branch of the main NPO from India called UNIVERSAL PEACE CENTRE, for scientific and spiritual research, agriculture, clothing, taking care of orphans and elderly people, with a health center and an education center.
Our 7 humanitarian programs focus on creating a Self-Dependent and Sustainable Global Family Home University. As we speak, we have people from +14 countries working together towards that goal.
I know the organization well since I have been working with them since 2012 in France, India, Serbia, and now in the USA! I am now working on creating the American branch of the association. It is called Universal Peace Centre • SUNYOGA AMERICA.
-------- GLORIOUS CONCLUSION ABOUT TEACHING -------- Teaching is a big responsibility. Parents and teachers, it is our duty to teach the best. Let's do our best together. Thank you for your trust and friendship.
Wishing us all best success, peaceful, blissful, healthy, and enlightened life. Merci! Gratitude.

Whether you have never picked up your DSLR camera before or are starting to become serious about photography, my lessons will help you get on the right track. I have been teaching Photoshop on Takelessons for 3 years now, and I am now deciding to expand my lessons and offer photography as well. We can go over how to use your camera, what gear you should bring, lenses, how to control: shutter speed, aperture, ISO, etc. We can get into technical aspects such as printing, post processing, and sharing your images online as well. I am a "Canon guy", so that is my specialty!
Hi! My name is Sam! This is my fifth year with TakeLessons and I couldn't be happier with the students that have come my way. If you're reading this, then you've taken the first step in finding a tutor that is right for you!
I completed two Bachelor's degrees at Worcester State University in Massachusetts. I have a B.A in Spanish and a B.A in Communication.
I love Spanish, and I believe that you can really get the hang of it after a little time and practice. With grammar review, practice, and vocabulary memorization, it becomes really easy to learn this language. I am more than happy to be here to help you learn this exciting language! Proper pacing is crucial to learning a new language. Therefore, I make each lesson customized for every student.
Every lesson, you will receive downloadable links with all of the content covered
in the lesson.
I also teach group classes. These are great for those that prefer larger classrooms and interacting with peers. Check out the Takelessons Live page and sign up for some of my classes!
Aside from Spanish, I also teach Adobe Photoshop & Photography. There are endless possibilities with Photoshop, and I am here to let you discover some of them. No experience? Tired of watching online tutorials with no feedback? Maybe you need a tutor to guide you through the process!
We will start off with layers and then go on from there, moving into the more intricate tools such as the pen tool, layer masks, and blending modes.
For photography lessons, I teach you the technical language you need to know when talking about photos. I will show you how to command your DSLR camera to get the exact photo you want.
I have been using my Canon DSLR camera for 4 years now, primarily focusing on shooting architecture and landscapes. I can teach the basics of how to frame a shot using simple rules such as the rule of thirds, and more technical terms such as shutter speed and aperture settings to create proper lighting settings and depth of field.
I'm a recent graduate of the Boston Architectural College, and employed by a large architectural firm in Boston. I am currently teaching a Rhino 3-D course at the BAC I tutor in all aspects of architecture including portfolio design, writing, software tutoring, design critiquing, and overall academic guidance. For software, I specialize in the Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros, and V-Ray. I've tutored students of all differing ages and skill sets, ranging from novice to advanced user. Further, I have numerous references and reviews about my services that I would be happy to pass along, as well as past design work that I have done both academically and professionally. Lastly, I have numerous resources students can use after tutoring sessions are complete such as reference manuals, tutorials, and websites to visit for additional learn

I know it's too early to write a review after the first lesson. However, I was surprised by the wonderful way Sergio handled the time and the introduction for such a hard instrument like the alto sax.
My son Moneer is so excited to continue learning how to play alto sax with Sergio. In short Sergio is a very talented music instructor!

Definitely knows his stuff and does his research! Sergio is a guy who goes over and above to fufill the highest expectations. Highly recommend.
I'm a Fashion Photographer and also a former National Geographic Photographer who has taught Photography for more than 15 years, including as a guest lecturer and speaker at Photographic events around the country. I love working with all levels of students, from beginners to advanced professionals. I will teach you how to take great photographs that communicate your message, stories and ideas. Whether its learning how to take great travel photos, shooting fashion ads or product shots for your company website, I will show you how to do it. I also teach Photoshop, both beginner and advance to take your photos to the next level.
I'm a former NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC PHOTOGRAPHER and Fashion Photographer, shooting ads for major corporations. My ads for Revlon, Estee Lauder, Calvin Klein and other famous brands have apeared in VOGUE, ELLE, INSTYLE and hundreds of other publications. I've also been a frequent guest speaker at major photographic events and trade shows, teaching advanced techniques to professionals.
I'm an expert in using Photoshop, including advanced retouching techniques, composites and layering. And I believe it's critical to master these skills to produce truly great photography, because even if you're not doing any retouching, you need to use these techniques to fine-tune your image and make it powerful.
Because I started as a photo-journalist and then went into fashion and advertising, I have a in-depth understanding of how to create strong, b
eautiful images in all of these areas. I've hung out of helicopters and airplanes shooting for National Geographic, and worked in New York City creating images for major ad campaigns.
If you want to improve your travel photography, portraits, shoot amazing product shots, or anything else, I can show you how to do it! I love sharing all the knowledge and techniques I've learned over the years to help make you the best photographer you can be!
I have many years of experience in Photography. I started with a film camera and moved to digital. I now shoot Nikon, Canon and Sony cameras so I am familiar with the 3 top brands. I will help you go from automatic to 100% manual if that is what you want. I can help you improve your skills in all areas of photography.
I have loved taking photos since my first photography class in high school. I have photographed many different subjects, scenes, and moments all over the world. There's a picture around every corner and the best camera you have is the one that is in your hand. My Photos have been in Diesel magazine, featured on a Nat Geo's photographers page and in recent calendar publications. I shoots a Nikon, Canon and Sony systems and has been doing classes for about 4 years with great reviews.
My name is Anabel, I am a professional photographer in Los Angeles, California. I photograph a variety of subjects, from pets to Grammy-nominated musicians, and everything in-between! I am well versed in studio photography and on-location outdoor work, and can help you learn to make the most of any location and subject matter.
Being self-taught, I believe that I have an entirely different approach to education; one that sits well with aspiring photographers, especially those that are disappointed in traditional (as in, college and university) photographic education. My teaching philosophy revolves around educating on the minimum and maximum capabilities of your gear and giving students all of the fundamental tools to create whatever image they have in their head (hence my lack of a photographic ‘niche’ in my work. When your camera becomes an extension of your arm, your subject pool is limitless).
In 2015, I had officially made my photography classes ...

Wanting to get out of using "Auto" mode and understand your camera? Are you looking to step up your game with composition or color theory? Maybe you are looking to understand post-processing better. I have been teaching and training for 5 years, 3 of those in photography with many more years in photography itself. There is nothing I don't enjoy shooting and there is nothing I enjoy more than teaching the art of photography to others. My entire family are all artists, from painting to designing, so I have lived art my entire life, all 35 years of it. My lessons are custom and personally built for you and will meet your expectation and accomplish what you want to specifically.
It all started as a child, and I didn't even know it. I always looked for what I used to call "The Postcard Scene" in any situation. I kept an eye out for that in everything I did and every where I went. Slowly but surely, I came to realize I had been training my eyes for photography.
I eventually started getting into the technical side of it with Nikon and became Master Certified for Nikon on that front. I was a product and technical advisor for the local clientele from the news stations to portrait/studio photographers and even gallery photographers. I eventually started branching out on my own, creating my ow portfolio and loving every second of it, from designing shots to post-processing them.
I love all things creative and all aspects of photography, but if I had to choose a favorite style, it would be a hard choice between Landsca
pe and Nature. I love the unique, unusual perspectives as well as the problem-solving aspects of capturing what I experience during that Sunset, or that day of Trailblazing.
I want to share my thoughts and theories with you too, as well as teach you the technical side of it. Photography is very personal and a form of art, let me help you start or move ahead in your journey in this amazing world of photography.
"Had a great time. Jonathan is very knowledgeable and is able to explain things easily"
"Julie was able to focus (pun intended) on my specific photographic needs and interests--in this case with lessons in depth of field, composition/cropping,
lighting, and special effects (such as applying a brushstroke effect to make the result look more like a painting, or darkening the edges of a photo to better emphasize the center) for close-up subjects like leaves, flowers, and tree trunks, as well as landscapes. I learned so very much that I can apply to both my existing raw photos as well as my future photographic efforts. I am truly WOWED!"
"Sarah is a great teacher! She is knowledgeable and patient. Even though I have enjoyed taking photos for years I just never knew much about my digital cam
era and what it could do. Sarah gave me "homework" to practice what she taught me and all around it was a positive learning experience!"
"Julie is one amazing teacher and is amazing at with every learning style. I would highly recommend!"
"I had a wonderful experience during my first lesson with Julie! She was easy to talk to and very informative."
"I had a wonderful first lesson with Joy and learned so much. Thank you!"
"Julie's instruction reaffirmed what minute knowlege I had in the operation of my Canon SLR. What I did learn was various uses of the "Memu" and "buttons"
on the camera. Overall, hopefully this will assist in me becoming a better photographer thus enhancing my photos."
"Julie is a wonderful instructor! She is engaging and thoughtful, and she provides clear instructions and advice. She took time to ask me my specific goals
for my first lesson, and after just one class, I already feel much more confident in my photography skills! I am a super beginner, and am looking forward to continuing to work with Julie to improve my skills."
"We met outdoors and talked then walked to take some pictures. Meeting next week"
