As a 63-year old I was concerned it would tough for me to learn. I'm sure I don't retain and absorb like a 12-year old but I AM LEARNING TO PLAY. Justin is very patient and accommodating and I am inspired to practice weekly. Most of all I'm having fun.

Whether you are new to music and have chosen Guitar as your first instrument or you are a seasoned vet with hundreds of gigs under your belt, simplicity is key!

While I have spend over two decades learning the rules of music and twisting my brain around Jazz Harmony and complex rhythmic patterns, I have come to realize one truth: MUSIC IS SIMPLE! There are seven notes in a key; keep the notes far enough apart so they don't fight with each other; learn to count to four. Oh, and own an instrument that stays in tune.

While that may seem like an over-simplification, it is not! I have a very methodical process that I have been honing since I started teaching Full-time at The School of Rock in Downingtown, Pennsylvania (now a nationwide franchise) in 2005.

Students are asked to pick a few of their favorite songs to learn. Using their material and few other musical examples chosen by me, students are taught the basics of Standartd Notation, Tablature, chord and scale diagrams, ...

About Gabriel

Most beginners I’ve encountered have no idea what they want to play or even why. my suggestion is before coming to your teacher pinpoint the what and the why. Why did you want to learn guitar? Was it a song, or a really cool sounding riff? Did you see someone play live and feel like “I could do th

"I was fortunate enough to take lessons from Ahmad for a number of months last summer. Unfortunately I wasn't able to continue due to personal reasons, but my experience with him was wonderful and very fruitful.

I've been playing for a very long time, and sometimes in my position its hard to recognize your weaknesses and figure out where to make progress. Ahmad was able to talk to me openly and honestly about where my deficiencies were without making me feel bad in any way. He was encouraging and had a plan! I was able to make immediate progress on some very fundamental aspects of guitar that had been holding me back for a long time.

I don't think I've ever seen a more organized and efficient instructor, and it really helps in making incremental progress over the short term, and taking major strides over the long term. I'd highly recommend Ahmad to anyone looking for guitar lessons with disciplined and well-thought-out lesson plans. His focus on technique and fundamentals can help anyone through any style."

"I have taken acoustic and electric guitar lessons with Jared for several years. Through my own experience and my observation of Jared with other students, I would describe Jared as patient, encouraging, courteous, and respectful. His knowledge and facility with guitar-playing styles and techniques is vast. His understanding of music theory is infectious. He will proceed at your pace, not his. He makes a genuine effort to help his students identify and achieve their goals--and he's genuinely happy when they do. In short, Jared is an exemplary teacher. Highly recommended!"

More than likely, your teacher is trying to make you a better player by guiding you to play with good technique. We’ll …
