My 1st lesson with Jason was very relaxed & professional. I learned more in 45 minutes than the last 5 months on my own in regards to reading
music, rhythm, timing and playing the notes on the staff. He is very patient and knowledgeable. His diversity in music provides an understanding of where you are at and where you want to go with music. I look forward to my next lesson with Jason.

"Great Singing Experience
Shauna is a very talented singer/teacher. She focuses on her student and builds up self-awareness and singing confidence. The si
nging studio inside Shauna's house is sunny and cozy. It creates a positive atmosphere during lessons. Singing lessons with Shauna are very therapeutic. Shauna puts a great emphasis on not just singing, but singing with your heart and soul. I definitely recommend Shauna as a teacher to anyone who wants to take singing classes."

"Desiree puts the fun in fundamentals!
I decided to take voice lessons for pleasure as a hobby to keep my mind off of the stresses of daily life. I had a
lot of confidence issues to get over when I started taking lessons with Desiree; mainly because I didn't want to embarrass myself like those people I make fun of on American Idol. Her non-threatening teaching style has been the perfect fit for me...although she does raise her voice at me when I judge myself too harshly, but I won't count against her ;) My confidence has soared and I feel that I'm a much bolder and more comfortable singer. Iâm enjoying every minute of discovering my voice with Desiree. I've still got some work to do but I'm confident she'll help me reach my goals."

"Glad Maureen is my daughters music teacher!
My 10 year old daughter started taking piano lessons in the Summer, she is now on her 28th lesson. The curric
ulum Maureen has chosen for a beginning pianist has been a wonderful musical journey & very easy for my daughter to follow, along w/her lesson Maureen is also having her learn technics, theory & other music fundamentals to enhance her music skills, my daughter has learned alot already. We've had to change our schedules on several occassions & she has been wonderful and quite flexible in both teaching music and rescheduling appointments. She has been a great support to me as a mom who is new to this art & who is learning the disciplines that come along with it. I trust that what my child is learning from Maureen will hold a lot of substance in her future & I am very satisfied with with the results I'm seeing. I'm glad to have my daughter continue with these lessons & to watch her evolve as Maureen's student."

*** Lesson Details *** I instruct children as well as adults ranging from beginning to advanced levels in the art of playing the piano. I teach various styles of music including standard classical repertoire and popular pieces. Through a creative, fun and individualized approach to teaching, my students also learn ear training, sight reading, music theory, piano technique and music history as it pertains to the pieces they are currently learning. After one month, beginning students can expect to have learned how to play one piece of music of their choosing and one piece of music chosen by me. After a few months of studying with me, they can expect to have gained basic music reading skills.
*** Studio Equipment *** Steinway Baby Grand Piano, 76 key Casio keyboard, Dell All In One 20" desktop, music software and music theory games
*** Specialties *** I specialize in teaching classical and popular repertoire. I have taught other styles as well as improvisation. I utilize a student centered approach structuring lessons to suit each student's individual goals.

It was a good start .My daughter loves her and cant wait for the next session. Thank you,Lisa !
I had my first piano lesson when I was five years old. I performed my first piano solos for audiences at school events. I joined the keyboard team at church when I was thirteen years old. I quickly learned to improvise and accompany. It was exciting to discover that I could study piano in college. I earned my way by accompanying voice and instrument choirs, rehearsals, lessons, and recitals. I enjoy helping other people excel, so I chose a teaching degree over a performance degree.
In 1991, I graduated with my bachelor of music degree in piano pedagogy. I immediately began teaching p
rivate and group piano lessons, building my studio over fifteen years to reach nearly 600 students ages five to seventy-five. I accompanied community choirs, local vocal artists, and students performing on other instruments. I performed as a substitute for church choir directors and accompanists. I was employed as a music director and organist for seven years.
I achieved my Music K-12 professional teacher certification with the State of Florida in 2007. I teach elementary classroom music for the District School Board of Pasco County. I continue to perform as a professional accompanist and serve on the piano faculty at the Patel Conservatory at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa.
*** Lesson Details *** I teach beginning students to read music. I teach students to play piano successfully. Reading music is a step-by-step process. I like to begin at the beginning. Using an age-appropriate All-in-One course from Alfred Publishing, we begin with the basic layout of the piano and learn to navigate the 88 keys. If you absorb and apply the information quickly, we move along quickly. If you need a little more time to sort it out, we take all the time you need.
My piano lessons are structured around the student's interests and abilities. Whether you are looking for a fun hobby or a place to launch your musical career, our time together will guide you to your goals. I am aware of physical and cognitive developmental stages and am able to present material in a suitable format for any student, adult or child.
*Special note to parents of children with unique needs: Piano lessons are a fantastic way to provide your child with focused one-on-one time while learning new skills. Playing the piano incorporates hand-eye-brain coordination, reinforces reading skills, provides opportunities for personal achievement, and teaches self-discipline through accountability. With my experience and training in Exceptional Student Education, I am able to personalize piano lessons for students with physical and cognitive challenges.
*** Studio Equipment *** Living room w/ f/w keyboard and seating for parents
*** Travel Equipment *** My students need to have at least a 50+key keyboard/piano in their home.
*** Specialties *** Sight Reading, Beginners

ion that will be fun to share. Get ready to make some music!
*** Lesson Details *** My lessons are geared specifically to the student based on age, musical preference, and seriousness of performance level desired. I emphasize the theory based on the circle of fifths and the relationship of intervals and modes. I want my student to understand how music is made and why it sounds the way it does. My students will recognize sounds and modes and chords between different songs even if they are hearing them for the first time.
*** Studio Equipment *** The in-studio lessons are taught in the largest room in the house. The room includes a guitar, bass, 88 key weighted keyboard, and drum kits. Seating is available. No pets.
*** Travel Equipment *** Casio Privia Electric piano. 88 weighted keys. Fender Stratocaster electric guitar. Yamaha Bass. Tama Drums.

Making music and Teaching music has always been a huge part of my life! Music has brought such joy to my personal life and the lives of my students and their friends and family. I teach music because it is such a wonderful experience for everyone involved from the practice room to the performance. I hold a Degree in Music Education from Kent State Univ. I have conducted both chorus and orchestra, established small singing groups and founded the Strings of Gold. I promised my own children that music would bring adventures, and they are all performing throughout the world today. Many of my priv
ate students experience new friendships at music camps, orchestras, bands, churches, and find a wonderful purpose in school through their participation in music programs. Many of my adult students have enjoyed the accomplishment of playing an instrument and sharing their music with friends and family. I am excited that you are interested in taking music lessons! I look forward to sharing your musical adventure .

Cara is an absolutely amazing instructor! As an 'older' beginning student, I was treated with kindness and sincerity. Her patience with my ineptitude made me feel like a pro, rather than a beginner. She was able to listen to what I wished to accomplish and in a few short months, she delivered just that and more. Thank you, Cara!
