Mark is an American composer, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer.

I started teaching private music lessons my senior year of high school, in 2006. Since then I've taught over 100 different students of all ages from 3 years old to 78 years old. While still living in Ohio, I was the one and only official guitar teacher for Guitar Center Youngstown through the duration of 2008-2009. In late 2009, after moving to Los Angeles, I continued to teach privately and with several music schools all around the city. I currently live in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of LA with my wife and two little kids.

Different people learn differently, so I like to vary my teaching methods based on individual students. One way of thinking about something may be very helpful for one student and not so helpful for another. Having had some not-so-great personal experiences with teachers who would only explain a concept in one way, I try hard to avoid this in my teaching. I try to keep the lessons fun and stress-free while still pushing students to meet their full potential. Music is fun because it contains both abstract (i.e. how the music feels) and concrete (eg notes and rhythms) elements, so I try to include both sides of the spectrum in my teaching.

About Chad

I have taken piano lessons for the past 17 years and have been teaching for the last 5. "Priscilla recently started teaching my 5 year old (just turned 6) and my 4 year old girls. They both really enjoy the lessons and are doing a great job learning how to play the piano. I am not musically inclined and don't know how to play. The girls have been able to show me a lot of the basics. Even my 2 year old (who is not taking lessons) can play Baby Shark! It's pretty amazing that the girls are able to play recognizable tunes after only a few lessons. Priscilla does a great job engaging the girls and keeping the lessons fun and relevant for their age and interests. On the very first lesson, she asked their favorite song and began to teach them how to play it. My oldest had a lesson on her 6th birthday and Priscilla (who didn't know it was her birthday ahead of time) changed the lesson and taught her how to play Happy Birthday to You. Priscilla is a great instructor. I highly recommend her."

"Keith's knowledge in music production and his skill level for playing the piano is impressive to say the least. As an instructor/mentor Keith has the ability to inspire and encourage students to learn. Learning music theory on your own can be challenging and frustrating, but Keith has the ability to explain it in a way where difficult concepts may become easy to grasp. The techniques that he has taught me has also made sight reading and playing in general easier and more enjoyable. Keith often gives me constructive criticism on some of my own music production that I bring in, and shares ideas with me on how I can build on a chord progression to take my production to the next level, which I really appreciate. I would highly recommend Keith to anyone ready to learn."
