I was a lead Tenor Artist-in-Residence for Opera San Jose for 4 years. I have sung lead roles (Wagner, Verdi, Puccini, Bizet, Mozart, and many others) in the USA, Europe, Canada, France and Brazil with over 30 years of professional onstage performing experience including at Lincoln Center, the Disney Concert Hall, Seattle Opera, Monte Carlo Opera, Canadian Opera, Spoleto Opera in Italy, Virginia Opera, Genoa Opera, Metz Opera, Minnesota Opera, and Brazil's first ever "Ring Cycle" which took place in Manaus. I have professional stage experience in Musical Theater, sung for Hollywood movie soundtracks and have extensive concert experience including sacred music. I have shared the stage in lead roles and in concert with some of the worlds leading opera singers.

I believe that learning music is one of the greatest gifts that people can obtain and achieve in life, because if builds self-confidence, provide happiness to ourselves, and appreciate different cultures. Through singing, it has the power to touch the empathy of people through communication of words as singers deliver these texts within their sounding voice.

Having the talents in music is not predetermined whether you have them or you don’t, but I firmly believed that musical talent is a skill that can be learned and enriched. Through hard work and practice, I do agree that everyone can achieve these skills and become an exceptional musician. It is in my environment as a voice instructor to encourage and uplift my students through the very best of their capability by learning wide variety of songs while maintaining healthy vocal production throughout their instructions.

What are your singing goals? From singing in the shower and feeling like a rock star or for a role in a regional show, as a gigging musician or preparing for professional auditions, my students and I work closely together to get progressively closer to your goals. I have a 15+ year professional performance career as a singer in Musical Theater, Rock/Pop and Jazz and received my degree in Vocal Performance from NYU. Teaching informs my performing and performing informs my teaching. I am a voice nerd and love to continually educate myself on latest vocal research and methodologies. I believe in a hybrid approach of technical and scientific with freeing yourself up to your own self expression and your unique artistry. Since I started working with students of all ages (seriously my youngest student is 2 and my oldest is currently 66) I can not imagine ever stopping. Working with students of all levels and ages is always unique, and fun. I can't wait to get started with you!

I have been a private voice teacher for the last 15 years. My students have studied with me in person, and through Skype. I provide personalized lesson plans that focus on warm ups, repertoire selection, and audition preparation. My students have landed roles in major musicals all over the country, including on Broadway and in Hollywood (Shrek, Annie).
