I would assess the student's capability and begin with the level appropriate for the student. For new students with no experience, I would start out with simple hand positioning and playing the piano firsthand. We'll learn as we go with fine details of reading notation and techniques. I will introduce one or two subject to cover for each lesson. For students that have more experience and are at the beginner level, I will introduce technical practices and assign a piece of music. As for intermediate and advance, we will cover technical practice, assigned music, and music theory.

About Fang

Hello, my name is Fang. I studied piano as my major for Undergraduate studies and have since finished my studies as of June, 2018. I am looking forward to teaching beginners or intermediate in classical training. I want to teach an all-around encompassing a strong foundation for the piano. This inc

Just finished my very first lesson with Cosima. I already learned so much. She really broke down that art of singing and made it very clear how the voice works. Then we did exercises afterwards which helped me know what I need to work on. Definitely need to check her out. She’s great!(:

I had Cosima for a few months and I saw a change in my voice. Not only did she help me improve my voice but she was able to explain it in a way that I could understand the fundamentals of how singing happened. I had a song that I wanted to sing for my sisters wedding and if she didn't help I probably wouldn't have sang. I would like to say thank you to Cosima for helping me understand singing/vocal world. I was so new to it even though I have been singing from young age. She was able to help find my struggle in singing and we worked at it as much as possible to improve it. My chest voice and bridges definitely got better then what they were when I first started taking lessons with her. I have learned a lot and I have seen a difference in my voice. I'm really happy and blessed that I was able to have Cosima as my teacher. I greatly appreciate her teaching me. I recommend her as a great singing teacher.

Hi! I am currently study at Peabody of JHU. I love music, photography and cooking. I have 6 years violin teaching experience, age from 6 to 56. They are all become my friends now.
I was always trying to combine what I have studied and what I am gonna teaching in these years. I think teaching is not only teaching, but also a process of making yourself learn. Teaching also makes an artist more professional. Also, I speak both English and Mandarin (Chinese).

"Terri has been my daughter's piano teacher for over a year. My daughter and I both say the same thing today as we did the first day we met her....she is wonderful! Terri goes above and beyond in many ways to ensure my daughter has the best experience and makes steady gains with her playing. Terri takes the time to explain and always uses positive methods and supportive tone-of-voice to encourage students. She has a natural gift and passion to teach students and this shines through every time. Terri is friendly and welcoming. She is thorough and timely on all scheduling/paperwork matters. You won't find a better teacher out there!"

"I met Robby in college and he was a really good guitar player. I wanted to learn from him as much as I could. He actually took the time to set me up with lessons and gave me very specific stuff to practice. He would check in with me every couple weeks and see if I had any questions and how I was doing. I moved and had to stop lessons for a year or two. A few years later I called him and asked to get together for a couple lessons. He was blown away at how much I improved and was so genuinely happy for me. We still talk every week and if I ever have a guitar question I call him. He's my friend, and he's gonna be a famous guitar player some day."

"he has helped me to memorize portion of my favorite song while learning a certain strum with accent on 2nd beat and working on it. he has helped me to organize time to learn. shown me strum pattern and how many in between per note while following and artists song. he is helping me to be disciplined not to think about it and do it subconsciously which is wonderful to learn. i am learning a finger pattern. all will take time. when i stumble he picks the same note up with me as i start again and helps me grow thru my difficulties with explanation and repeating over and over with me until i get it. very patient and nice person with good teaching skills."
