I have taught piano off and on since I was a teenager and consecutively for the past six years. I enjoy children ages 5 and up, beginners and intermediates, and beginning adults. I choose the curriculum according to the student's age, ability, learning style and choice. My primary goal is for the students to have a positive experience with piano and to look forward to coming each week so that they will want to continue piano or another instrument in the future. I have a lot of incentives for the students and experience much success in this area. I charge very low fees as some clients are unsure of their ability to learn at first. I am very easy-going, flexible, patient and non-judgmental, and I love what I do.
I live on the west side of the valley and teach in my home. It is a warm, open, family-oriented environment and I welcome siblings to come and play with toys or read while the other is in the lesson. We have a recital at the end of the school year, held in my home ...
I have taught many different kinds of subjects, eg., piano, ESL, Drug and Alcohol Education, and foster care parenting, in the past. Mostly, though, I have taught piano and ESL, my first and greatest loves, starting in the 70's and 80's. I develop special relationships with all of my students,

I've been teaching cello for 10 years and my students have gone on to participate in All-State orchestra, and play in professional orchestras. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to produce sound and play simple songs and as time goes on you'll be able to read music fluently and perform with ease. I specialize in Classical, and typically use Suzuki and Klengal scale books. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!
I love music. I love it so much that I have made it my career. I have been playing the cello for over 20 years and have studied in universities since 2002. In that time, I have worked extensively with great artists such as, Rhonda Rider, Joel Krosnick, Andy Mark, Nicholas Tzavares, and Mark Steinbe
I had no experience with string instruments and feel I'm on my way to playing the cello competently. Byron keeps things fun and moving along at a good pace. He's especially good at diagnosing the cause of any difficulties I'm having.

I focus heavily on technique at first, usually for the first 2-4 months. At that point, depending on the student we work on either sight reading or improvisation.

Voice lessons are tough. This isn't like a golf swing where someone can show you physically what to do or reach out and position your elbows where they need to be.
This all has to be articulated by a teacher, and is has to be articulated to someone (YOU) who doesn't even know what parts you're trying to move around.
It takes a great teacher. Eulis is a GREAT teacher. He gave me physical descriptions, character descriptions, accent descriptions, … everything I needed to position everything where it needed to be, even when I didn't always know where it was.
A lot of progress and a lot of fun. Thank you, Eulis.
