Snow Day Rap Raises the Bar for All School Announcements Forever

Students at Durham Academy in North Carolina got a “cool” snow day announcement today. Head of School Michael Ulku-Steiner and his assistant Lee Hark issued the chillest and illest snow day announcement ever in the form of a rap.

Set to Vanilla Ice’s 1989 hit “Ice Ice Baby”, their rap includes sick rhymes like: Will the power stop (No!)/I don’t know/ Turn up the heat and let go/sleet falling down like a million missiles/bringing school delays and early dismissals.

You kind of have to watch the video below:

Full disclosure: our headquarters are in sunny San Diego, so we are missing out on the polar vortex madness, but this video made me very jealous. I want a snow day!!!

What do you do when you get a snow day? Let us know in the comments!
