Email Update:
When the pandemic hit in 2020, the world turned upside down, but TakeLessons stood upright and tall. We were well-positioned to serve people seeking growth.
For a time, it seemed like remote life would be something we held onto forever. Yet, here we are. It’s 2024, and we’re seeing something of in-person learning coming back.
More on that in this Provider Update, but for now, please know that we appreciate those of you who’ve been with us since that major transition, and we also appreciate those who are with us now.
Transition is what is always unfolding. It’s core to growth. It’s what you do in your work, and it’s what we’re doing all the time. Thank you for being with us as we transition.

Hyperwallet: Ready!
Everything is ready to start making payments through Hyperwallet. Payments will be processed through Hyperwallet the week of May 20th.

Special Topic: In-person Locations
As we continue to recover from COVID, we’ve noticed an increase in the number of people looking for in-studio and in-home lessons.
It might be a good idea to consider adding back some in-person options to your profile!
Here are some instructions on how to do that.
Updating your In-Person Locations
- Log in and Locate the profile tab.
- Select My Info or locate your info section on the left-hand side.
- Find the Locations section and select Edit.
In-studio (Home Studio)
- Select “Home Studio”.
- Input your teaching location in the provided field. You can input multiple locations if you have multiple places to teach (i.e. a studio space for dance lessons vs your spare room at home for language lessons.)
- Be sure to select an address from the drop-down provided.
- Select Done in the bottom right.
In-Home (Student’s location)
- Select “Will travel to students:
- Input your starting location (i.e. your home or your office) and select an address from the drop-down provided. We will calculate your mileage based on this address
- Select your mileage limits (between 1 and 25).
- Input your travel fee. Please note that this fee is added to your base price and is subject to the % splits with TakeLessons.
