I've been playing the tuba since 2000 and have studied under many well-known professionals in the tuba community. As well as obtaining a degree with a focus on the tuba from UMass Amherst in 2008, I have also learned different stylings and advanced teaching techniques on the way.
From the piccolo trumpet to the contrabass tuba, the versatility of brass instruments can be seen whether you're watching a balkan brass band or sitting in Symphony Hall. Learning how to play a brass instrument early allows me to hone the techniques needed to produce good habits and develop an advanced brass musician. Students will also learn about the brass family in depth with focuses on embrochure, apature, breathing exercises, and the many more elements that make the brass family unique to the music world.

Hello! I am a recent college graduate in music who focused on theory, conducting, performance, and composition throughout college. While I am able to teach students in many different areas of music, I focused on piano in college and really enjoyed working with students who played brass instruments. In high school I played most brass instruments and all 4 saxophones (depending on what was needed with my high school band). In college I was asked to play trumpet for our symphonic band for 2 years and I played piano with our jazz band. I am a hands on instructor who believes in working with students and showing them what I expect. My students should expect to for me to play an instrument along with them and teach through showing.

"My daughter's wedding was weeks away and I had never been able to dance a step. With Jenny's help, I came further than ever before in such short time in any subject."
