I have played on tour with several professional bands, playing rock, pop, blues, African, metal & country. I now perform live in various bands and record original music as often as possible. My music has gotten airplay in many countries.

I started playing guitar at age 9, and recorded 2 singles in the LA area by age 14. I was a music major throughout High School and College. I also learned a lot by educating myself at the Brand Library in the Los Angeles Area, which specializes in the arts. I specialized in advanced music theory and improvisational techniques.

I have enjoyed teaching music lessons since 1978.

I studied many different types of music in order to find a style that I felt really expressed me. I have studied classical guitar and music theory at University of the Pacific in California and also in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I have learned from blues masters at late night jam sessions in dive bars. In Mali, West Africa, I spent a year apprenticing with a family of artists that have been passing on their musical traditions from generation to generation for thousands of years.
As a teacher I draw on all these diverse experiences to help you gain the skills, knowledge and focus you need to express yourself through an instrument. I love sharing the craft that has inspired my life's direction with others. After eight years of teaching students, I continue to be amazed by how much I learn from helping someone else find their unique path through music.
