Hey, my name is Gabe. I'm a guitar player, musician, composer, producer and educator, and I have been playing professionally and teaching music for over 15 years. I have an undergraduate degree in music composition and theory, a Masters degree Jazz Studies with an emphasis in Guitar Performance, a Masters in Musicology, and I was a Doctoral Candidate in Musicology/ Ethnomusicology/ Jazz Studies at the University of Southern California.

My system of teaching is proven to get you playing in no time. Typically, beginning students are instructed via my "Basics Curriculum", and then move on to custom tailored sessions at the intermediate or advanced level. Learning piano and guitar at a young age, I quickly developed an ear for music which led me in the direction of performance. Writing songs with the guitar as the main instrument gave me the framework needed to compose songs for various bands, tv theme songs, commercials and live theatre.

I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where at an early age was exposed to several
kinds of music through my parents and surroundings. I attended the American School of Rio de Janeiro, where I joined many bands and explored many different instruments.
I started to study music (theory, acoustic nylon guitar and bass) more seriously, and
soon was performing locally with many artists from Brazil. After high school, I
decided to pursue my music studies further and was accepted to the University of Miami
School of Music. I studied theory, piano, arranging, and composition. I focused my
studies on jazz and also studied upright bass and classical with Dr. Lucas Drew. After
attending University of Miami from 1989 until 1994, I started touring, performing, and

Born and raised in Southwest VA, Jordan received his first guitar when he was 12 years old. By the time he was 13, he got his first electric guitar and by 15 he was playing in bands. After several years of teaching guitar and playing in bands in the area, he decided to further his musical education and moved to Los Angeles, CA. In 2010 Jordan moved to Hollywood to attend the Musicians Institute. While attending Musicians Institute he studied under some of the best musicians in the world including Paul Gilbert (Racer X, Mr. Big), Dale Turner (Solo artist, Guitar World Magazine columnist), Doug Rappaport (The Edgar Winter Band), among others. In 2012, Jordan graduated from the Musicians Institute with an Associate of Arts in Performance with a major in guitar. Since then he has been teaching guitar lessons in the Los Angeles area and is working on writing and recording his first solo album.

My life in music began when I was 4 years old, sitting beside my Mom while she sang and played the piano. Soon, I began singing and playing as well. At six years old, my first year in public school, I picked up the cello, which began my love of the stringed instruments. Then I decided that I wanted to move on to louder instruments, so I played trombone and baritone horn, of the brass family. By the age of ten, I’d already become a junior rock n’ roller and had my fill of studying classical instruments at my public school. I then began taking electric bass lessons at a local music store in the NY suburbs where I was raised. I have studied classical guitar and saxophone since 1999. I continued my studies of both instruments while at university. While at UNT, I learned how to play all of the wind and percussion instruments and I studied piano as well. I have played in several bands and I have recorded three albums with those various groups (all original music).
