I have been playing guitar since the age of 9. I have studied Classical, and Jazz at CCM's Prep Dept. in middle school and throughout high school as well as rock, folk, country etc. with other local teachers. I started teaching lessons at the age of 18 in local music stores and have never stopped. While doing this I attended The College of Mount St. Joseph where I studied Classical and Jazz guitar as well as Music Ed. In addition to my 22 years of private lesson experience, I have 2 years of classroom experience teaching general music in elementary schools. I believe it is my years as a student and instructor that enable me to be an effective teacher, having had learned what worked for me as a student, and what has shown to work as a teacher.

I am a student at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music. I am studying Music Performance: Jazz Studies (drum set). I have been playing drums my whole life and I have been playing professionally since age 16.

James is a classical guitarist currently residing in Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to a wealth of teaching and performing experience James has studied with world renowned performers such as; Oscar Ghiglia, David Russell, Marcin Dylla, Florian Larousse, Carlos Perez, Jason Vieaux, Lily Afshar, William Kanengiser, and Pavel Steidel. Since attaining a B.M. of Performance from Eastern Kentucky University James has been pursuing a Masters of Music from the Cincinnati Conservatory. Currently James is in the process of recording his first professional album and arranging concerts throughout Ohio and Kentucky for the 2013 season.

I have been teaching private music lessons on guitar, bass, and brass instruments since 1997. Private lesson instruction is my main focus and I am very passionate about finding the musician in each student.

I have 40 years of experience in drum performance and teaching. I have a degree in Music Education and Percussion Performance. I have had the opportunity to play all styles of music including marching band, Jazz band, country, rock, jazz styles,and symphonic generes. I have a passion for music and playing. I am a performance based person which in a sense after working hard you want to be able to measure and have fun with your craft. I provide a safe and fun enviroment of teaching. I am bringing a fresh and new approach to teaching drums in the Cincinnati area. While in the Kansas City Area I have shared the stage with Many Musicians and speakers, such as Tony Evans, The Association, Billy Cobham, First Baptist Church of Raytown. I have also done recordings and Musicals involving East Side Baptist Church, Theater at Vis and local school districts. I have studied under Charmaine Asher-Wiley, Dr. Dennis Rogers, and Dr. Mike Sekelsky.

Jennifer has a Bachelor's Degree in Music in piano studies from Kent State University. She has been teaching children from age five to adult for over eleven years. She desires to help students learn about music and learn how to make the most of those 88 keys. Previously Jennifer has worked at Long Lake Camp for the Arts as a private piano instructor. She has successfully run her piano studio along with aiding several other music studios teaching dozens of students from various backgrounds.

I am a guitarist and guitar teacher in the Dayton, Ohio area. I play Jazz, Rock, Blues, Folk, and other styles of American music. I grew up in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Most of the music that I was exposed to was classic rock, country, gospel, and bluegrass. I started playing guitar when I was 10 years old in 1979. I had a teacher, Lloyd Hazelbaker, when I was 13 who was a western swing steel guitarist. He told me that I was going to be a jazz guitarist but I had no idea what jazz was. He went on to teach me a lot of old standards like "The Autumn Leaves". Later, when I was 19, I decided to go to college for music. I went to the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music Preparatory Department and studied with Phil Willis. Then I studied with James E. Smith at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio near Dayton. My name is Mike and I operate out of the Dayton, OH area. I have 11 years experience teaching music in public schools and would love to have you study with me. I am a Senior at the University of Dayton, OH studying Music Education. I will be graduating in May with a Bachelors of Music in Music Education. My teaching style focuses on improving student understanding of musicality and theory to provide a well-rounded education.

I've been teaching awhile now and all my students are growing in the music world. Students enjoy my versatility of different instruments. I attended Stivers School for the Arts at early age and they really open the doors for me to enjoy music to the fullest. It encouraged me to continue and further education at Wright Sate University. Hello. I have been teaching music since the age of fifteen. I would teach note value, rhythm, counting, and different sound techniques on the clarinet. All through high school, I was section leader in band, orchestra, and other organizations outside of Dayton, Ohio. I developed a sense of compassion, patience, and drive. In college I taught beginner- advance clarinet lessons and beginner piano lessons. I believe that God has given me a gift of teaching and I want to share it with others. I have my high school diploma from Stivers School for the Arts in Dayton, Ohio. I received my Bachelors degree from Bowling Green State University (BGSU) in Music Performance (Clarinet), in Bowling Green, Ohio. I also received my minor in telecommunications.
