The guitar is a fantastic and extremely popular instrument. Many people can pick up a guitar and play a few chords, or sing one song. I strong urge guitarist who come to me to be interested in learning the musician aspects of the guitar as well. Most people who learn to play an instrument have to learn theory, scales, and harmony as well. On the guitar you do not have to learn these things to be able to "play" the instrument but I urge people to because that will show in the music you make.

I began learning music when I was nine on the piano however by the time I turned twelve I discovered my passion for the guitar. I began by learning songs and playing in band with some of my school friends. This was the start of my journey into music. I started with blues, rock, and pop music but I quickly moved into more complex genres such as funk and Jazz music.

I am a professional audio engineer and instrumentalist. I have a B.S. in Sound Recording Technology from DePaul University in Chicago. I currently hold two weekly teaching positions; low-brass instructor at Woonsocket High school and low-brass instructor at Hendricken High School in Warwick, RI. I am also a tenor section leader/cantor at St. Augustine's Church in Providence and I also perform acoustic guitar and bass guitar on Sunday evenings at St. Brendan's Church in Riverside, RI.
