I've been teaching voice for over 10 years and have studied many styles of voice for more than 16 years. My immediate focus is to help students sing free of tension or incorrect technique in the genre they are most passionate about, so they can truly see results in their singing right away. As their basic vocal technique begins to improve, we can then work on the nuances of improving style, control, and power in the voice. Singing is fun and we should all feel the freedom to enjoy using our voices!
No matter what stage you are at in your singing exploration, I can help empower you to let your voice be heard and have FUN in the process. :o)

I bring the voice out of the throat and avoid straining. as the muscles develop correctly, sound and vocal agility improve drastically.
I started studying piano and singing from a very young age. I used to make my friends come over and watch me perform (karaoke style--before karaoke was big) when i was in the 4th grade. My greatest love is music, performing music, and sharing it with others. As a singer i have studied all types of music, but my favorite- and what i excel at- is opera.
I have taken private voice and piano lessons constantly since the age of 5, and have studied opera performance and music theory in college. I perform locally around the community as a singer, direct the church choir, and occasionally accompany soloists on the piano. I have taught private lessons in voice and piano for 5 years and i greatly enjoy the one on one experience of teaching private lessons.
