I do enjoy teaching all age levels and have experience teaching anywhere from 5 to 65 years old. I currently teach group keyboard classes in an afterschool program in public schools in the Deer Valley District. In my lessons you will learn rhythm (so its okay if you don't naturally have rhythm!), sight reading, memorization, ear training, and much more. I help the students pick music at their skill level that they enjoy. Every week you will get excited as you see yourself improving!
Hello everyone! I've been singing since the age of 3 and performing since the age of 6. I am not only an experienced music teacher with a passion for music and teaching, but an experienced performer, and songwriter. I started performing at a young age with the Columbia School of Theatrical Arts, and as I grew older I studied different techniques such as speech level singing, classical, and even techniques from Brett Manning, one of the most amazing vocal coaches today who teaches artists such as Haley Williams from Paramore. I have experience performing many styles of music, and also was a voice major in college. The students I teach will benefit from my contemporary techniques, and can learn to sing in almost any style of music they choose. *** Lesson Details *** Do you want to learn ...
Learning to play takes time and commitment but it also needs to be enjoyable. We will spend 30% of the time on theory and 70% on playing music from the method book, solo book or other.
Private classes allow each person to learn at their pace. I love working with all ages of students, kids through adults. Each one bringing their experiences and love of learning. *** Lesson Details *** I believe anyone can learn to play the piano or sing, but you must enjoy what you are doing. Once you have a basic knowledge of the instrument/notes you will be able to start choosing music that you enjoy playing/singing. *** Studio Equipment *** I use a Roland Digital Piano to teach my lessons. I use programs on the computer to reinforce musical concepts learned. *** Specialties *** I like to use a variety of methods to teach depending on my students likes and abilities.

Out of Town Until December 20th I have 18 years experience of playing and performing classical, jazz & contemporary music. I am a pianist & vocalist and I also dabble in ukulele. In my lessons you will learn about each period of music, composers, interpretations, styles, technique, rhythms, dynamics, theory, audition, performance and practicing skills. I believe in a unique approach to teaching. Every student learns differently! While I do like to incorporate various techniques, I do not conform to one specific teaching style. I like to engage my students by giving them a voice in their musical expression. I don't like to "force" and instead... "encourage"!!! I also like to have FUN! My fondest memories of childhood were sitting at the piano and the influential teachers I ...
