I attended Brandeis University from 1991-1995 with a double major in music and psychology. While there, I received the Elliot Aronson '54 Prize for Excellence in Psychology and the Dorothy Haas Siegel Music Award. After Brandeis, I attended Northeastern University School of Law and graduated in 1998 with a juris doctor degree and I am currently also a licensed attorney in the state of Massachusetts.

I Won a state-wide piano competition at the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Massachusetts in 1988 and began to teach piano privately at the age of 16 to students of all ages.

Both my high school private piano teacher, Leslie Hurwitz and my high school orchestra teacher, Pasquale Tassone, composed pieces specifically for me to perform (the latter was performed as part of my bachelor’s degree recital at Brandeis). The piece written by Leslie Hurwitz won me the piano competition in 1988.

As a composer, conductor and experienced choral singer, Sean G demonstrates great versatility as a musician. During his years as an undergraduate, Sean began writing choral music, singing with various choirs as a tenor and alto, and began fueling an interest in choral conducting. He sang for three years under Dr. Eric Banks in Seattle’s distinguished a cappella ensemble the Esoterics, a group which specializes in the performance of Twentieth- and Twenty-first Century choral music. Sean also sang for two and a half years with the choirs at St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral in Seattle under Dr. Mel Butler and Brian Fairbanks before moving to the east coast for further study.

I grew up in a musical home and have been playing piano since the age of four. I have had all sorts of different music teachers in my life and I have always looked to them for inspiration for my own teaching--what would I do differently? What would I do the same?
In my opinion, a teacher is an extremely energetic, charged individual who is entirely focused on the progress of the student. A teacher is inspiring, motivating, and makes learning a fun and enjoyable experience. I strive for this level of excellence in each of my lessons. It is extremely important to me that my students learn at their own pace, while mastering techniques and building a strong foundation.

While at the New England Conservatory, Vivek studied with both classical and jazz instructors, including former principal trumpet of the BSO, Charlie Schlueter, legendary jazz saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi, and master drummer Bob "Rakalam" Moses. This education prepared Vivek for several professional engagements, including recording and performing with 10-time GRAMMY winner Paquito D'Rivera, the DAX Bullfighting Festival (France), the International New Year's Festival (Taiwan), backing American Idol finalist John Stevens with the Beantown Swing Orchestra, performing at the International Trademark Convention, performing at the Caribbean Jazz Festival, entertaining the heads of Kodak Corporation, and many more.

Currently, Vivek is developing a curriculum demonstrating how to create quality recordings with free software and inexpensive recording equipment (e.g. Garageband, usb mics).

I began my love for music at the age of 12 when I joined middle school band to play the saxophone. From then it was “love at first sight,” and I became completely immersed in the fascination of music. By age 18, I had participated in many Honor Bands across the country and furthered my studies in music earning both a Bachelor’s and Masters Degree from Morgan State University. I have performed in Classical, Jazz, and Modern Contemporary atmospheres in both Saxophone and Piano, as well as; teach elementary music in the Baltimore City Public School System. I have a very diverse background, and furthermore; I truly enjoy teaching music to students of all ages and abilities.

Danilo is a multi-instrumentalist originally from Long Island, New York and currently based out of Boston. He has been involved in many successful projects along the east coast. Danilo is a current member of Full Tang and Debo Band. He has also been a member of internationally acclaimed Afrobeat group The Superpowers and had toured extensively playing percussion with indie-rock band Rubblebucket.

Danilo has studied classical trumpet performance at the New England Conservatory of Music with members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra as well as percussion and drums with other esteemed faculty members (Rakalam Bob Moses, Jamey Haddad). In addition to his conservatory training, Danilo has studied traditional West African drumming at the Dagbe Cultural Center in Kopeyia, Ghana.

Hi- my name is Dylan. I've been passionate about music and teaching my whole life. I even tried teaching my little sister violin when she was 7 and I was 9. But in actual lessons I have taught piano, organ, music theory, improvisation (and even harpsichord!) to private students. I am comfortable teaching a wide variety of musical styles and a wide range of experience in students, but have been most useful to motivated students interested in classical music and improvisation.

As a musician: I'm classically trained, with a Bachelor's degree in keyboard performance from McGill University and am currently studying for my Master's in the same thing at Boston University. I have won the Concours de Musique de Canada chamber music competition 2009 with Ensemble la Félicité, and have a special love for improvisation and classical music.

Originally from Mexico City, Mexico. Guitarist Guillermo O. start playing guitar at the age of nine. By age 15 he was performing punk and rock music. At age 17 he was accepted to the "Escuela Nacional De Musica" (UNAM) where he studied classical guitar. He has performed with famous comedian Eugenio Dervez in the biggest Stadium in Mexico. Guillermo also composed the music for several documentaries, and short movies. In 2003 he attended Berklee College of Music and graduated with a degree in Jazz Composition and Performance. Guillermo also composed the music for the original musical play "Beyond the Journey" . It was performed as a stage reading on 42nd Street in New York, NY in 2010. Guillermo has been working as a music teacher since 2005. He teaches private instruction and group and ensemble lessons as well as composition, harmony, sight reading and music theory.

Though he is only 24, Bob J has been playing drums professionally for close to a decade. He has a B.M. from the New England Conservatory and a M.M. from McGill University in jazz performance. Valued for his versatility and strong sense of groove, he is quickly becoming one of the most in-demand sideman in the greater Boston area. His growing reputation in the Northeast has lead to performances with jazz legends such as Lee Kontiz and Dave Holland, as well as an international tour with a big band featuring George Garzone and Lenny Pickett. He also has a strong connection with the piano and writes music for various musical projects. He is currently a member of the house band at the Art Bar in Cambridge and leads his own group in NYC, Boston, and Montreal.
