I love people of all ages. And I love helping them discover what beautiful things they can create, especially in the world of music. Music is such a powerful way to express ourselves, and I love helping others learn how to do this and really enjoy it.
I have played piano since I was three. When I was able to read at age four, I began lessons, and the rest is history. I graduated from Wheaton Conservatory of Music with a degree in Piano Performance, and completed a Master's degree in Piano Performance at University of Redlands. I love to perform, have written several songs, with and without lyrics, produced three CD's all with original music I perform, and am now in the process of creating a fourth CD featuring several classical works for piano. I have just completed writing a musical and am looking forward to having it produced. I love seeing people get touched with music and love to create and help others perform music that really speaks to the heart. It's my passion.
I teach all styles of music, and love teaching children, adults, and everything in between!
I have also sung in various choirs of all types and accompanied them on the piano as well for many years. I was recently Musical Director for Sound of Music where I taught beginning and intermediate singers how to train their voices and use proper techniques. It was a great success.
My goal for the student is for them to feel good about themselves as a musician and to be able to express themselves and reach the highest level of performance possible for them.
My students perform regularly in recitals and competitions, and we have a lot of fun! Lessons are a great experience for us all.

I am a professional singer and actor with over 10 years of performance experience and private vocal/acting coaching. I studied acting at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and have performed nationally in regional theater, for cruise lines, and several theaters in my current residence of San Diego such as the Lyric Opera San Diego, Old Globe, Lamb's Players Theater and Cygnet Theater. I have taught students from ages 7-adults, and my focus is always the dramatic and emotional aspects of the piece and how to use technique to release that emotion in a healthy and exciting way.

During the past 14 years, Stacey has worked with students ranging from age 5 to 75 teaching classical, musical theater, Christian, and pop music. She accepts students of all ages, styles, and levels. Her students learn through vocal exercises, ear training, song, and performance techniques. Students also learn how to keep their voices healthy and are encouraged to participate in performing venues outside of lessons. The opportunity to compete in NATS competitions is an option for all students who fulfill the requirements.
After teaching in New York and Ohio, Stacey held a teaching position at American River College and operated her private voice studio in Sacramento, California for 6 years. She recently relocated to San Diego where she maintains her private voice studio. Stacey has a Master of Music in Vocal Performance/Pedagogy from Ohio University, and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from SUNY Fredonia. Most recently, she completed the Summer Vocology Institute where she worked with several of the most knowledgeable researchers and therapists in the field of voice and completed additional Speech Pathology-related courses at the University of Pittsburgh. During graduate school, she taught as a graduate assistant and was hired after graduation as a Visiting Lecturer at Ohio University. Stacey also taught as the Affiliate Voice Instructor for the Athens Community School of Music and Voice Instructor at Studio 1 in Lancaster, Ohio. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and keeps her knowledge current by attending workshops and doing research.
A classically trained musician, Stacey performed locally in Sacramento as a soloist and sang first soprano with the Sacramento Master Singers. Although her love is art song, Stacey performed in both musical theater and opera productions during high school, undergraduate, and graduate school. Her roles include Despina from Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte and Nancy in Britten’s Albert Herring. She performed 3 degree recitals and was a 1998-99 Concerto Competition Winner at SUNY Fredonia.

Music is the biggest passion in my life. I love being able to share that gift with my students, and look forward to their progress as much as my own. I continue to grow and develop as a musician, and love connecting with people through music. My students all learn to love and appreciate music, theory and performing as I share my knowledge and expertise.
I have degrees in Violin, Viola and Vocal Performance, that I earned while on full scholarship for music. I started violin as a young child with the Suzuki Method and later added viola. I began singing professional gigs while still in high school, and was the youngest member ever with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Chorus at 17. I also have extensive experience singing in non-classical groups and bands and am comfortable performing and teaching musical theatre, pop, country, opera, operetta, and church music. With solid vocal technique my students are able to cross genres with ease, and sing whatever inspires them musically.
I currently sing with the San Diego Master Chorale and the San Diego Symphony. I was concertmaster in several symphony orchestras and have played as section leader for viola in numerous groups. I also play in and manage a string quartet and am also currently coaching small group string ensembles. My siblings and I have played in our family string quartet for over 20 years, and still perform together.
I am comfortable teaching with various different methods, and cater lesson plans to the individual student. With over 14 years of teaching experience, I have taught students that vary in age from 3 to 75 years old, and am very comfortable with teaching children.

I grew up in a musical home with a piano teacher for a parent. Consequently, I started learning piano and singing at a young age, and then began taking voice lessons in high school. For the last 15 years I have been studying voice and loving every minute of it! I am a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and Music Teacher's Association of California. I have a bachelor's degree in music education from Bob Jones University, and a master's degree in Vocal Performance from Azusa Pacific University. I also studied for 2 summers during college with a master teacher. Over the years I have performed and worked with both children's choirs and adult choirs and given private concerts. My enthusiasm for music has spilled over into a love for teaching. I have taught private voice lessons for the last 5 years to students ranging in age from 8 to 50+. Some have been beginner students, and others were seasoned singers who wanted some refreshers and guidance. My forte is classical music but I have also worked with Broadway, Sacred, and Pop. I enjoy teaching beginning to intermediate piano as well.
