I began singing at age 7 and have since developed interests in studying pop, rock, jazz, opera, acting, and musical theater. I have played leading roles in several operas and musicals in Southern California and I continue to perform and study music. I recently graduated from the University of Redlands- which I attended on a music scholarship- with my Bachelor's degree in Music. I have also done several concerts, opera scenes, competitions (winning music scholarships and theater awards), and worked as a singer at churches, restaurants, and performing bands. With this experience under my belt I feel a duty to pass on my knowledge to students. I carry a passion to help people develop their abilities and make them their own. I truly believe that if someone wants something out of life then they WILL achieve it with dedication, perseverance, confidence, and by having FUN doing it!

Hello there, my name is Jason H. and I am here to give quality lessons to eager people. I have 20 years of hands on experience that I can offer my students and I am more than happy to do so. I have spanned across the entire musical spectrum regarding styles and I have been in front and behind the scenes of the music industry. I am also a husband and a father, so I can relate to boys, girls, young and old! I have been playing drums since I was 8 years old, recording since I was 16 and running a sound production company since I was 22. With many years of experience in both piano and vocal performance in Los Angeles and in England and my teaching in the Inland Empire, my students experience a rich and rewarding time of learning.

I received my formal education in piano performance from the Royal Academy Of Music in London and in Rhodesia. I also attended the Kwanagoma College Of music in Rhodesia and studied organ under the famous Dr. Olaff Axelson of Germany.

I also attended the University Of Redlands where I studied piano pedagogy.

I studied voice with Suzann Luckather of the Alhambra Academy Of Music in Los Angeles and also with Maestra Marya Basaraba, director of the California Philharmonic 200 voice chorus.

I further studied with the international vocal coach and concert pianist, Armin Gazulamian.

My current vocal coach is the world famous tenor, Guiltiero Negrini of the Metropolitan Opera House New York.

I started singing professionally at the age of fourteen. I have had leading roles in semi-professional theatre productions since I was seventeen. I have also been assistant director, musical director, choreographer, costumer and writer for many productions from West Side Story to My Fair Lady to Camelot. In the theatre I have worked with and trained children and adults of all ages. I have also conducted summer camps that were theatre workshops for children. I am a school teacher and I teach music and drama to children from Kindergarten to 12th grade. I have been giving voice lessons for more than twenty years. I tailor my programs based on the needs of my students. I am passionate about music and I love being able to share that with other individuals who are passionate about music. Classically trained with years of performance and practical experience. I know how to help you make the music that you want to make. I am well-versed in nearly all music styles from classical to contemporary/pop. I am currently active in both piano accompaniment, vocal performance with the Pacific Chorale, and directing a very active north orange county community choir.

I recently completed my music credential and have graduate degrees in Education and Music.

I am especially gifted in teaching beginning piano, fundamental vocal production and dramatic presentation.

I am so excited to meet you! I have been performing ever since I can remember, doing talent shows, plays, musical theatre, and even television and film. Music has always been that quiet hum underneath all the noise that life brings. I began coaching vocalists and actors when I was attending Brigham Young University, studying Communications and Music. I found a new love of producing as I have directed and produced multiple musical showcases here in the USA, as well as in some parts of Europe.
