I've made my career as a performing musician and teacher for many years. I've enjoyed touring the Northeast U.S. and also the U.K. What fun it's been meeting different people and experiencing their love of music! My band specializes in rock, blues, and originals, too. There's even a little jazz influence, coming from my years of private study, most recently with Ms. Leni Stern, an extraordinary professor of music at NYU. I love to keep an open mind with my students regarding playing styles and approaches to learning, and I'll encourage you to do the same! Individuality is your number one asset, I want to help you become the best you can be.

Student who takes lessons with me has a chance to expand his knowledge by learn necessary technique and elements of music which I have studied in college. I am glad and willing to share my knowledge of music as well as research different genres and styles of music.

Music has been part of my life since the age of three. My first inspiration was my mother, who was a working singer in the 70's. My second inspiration and mentor was my High School Music Teacher, Mr. Wynn, and I am grateful for all he has taught me. I am passionate about teaching and would like to have the opportunity to be as inspirational to my students as Mr. Wynne was to me. As you can see from my resume below, I have been very active in performing and teaching. At the age of 37, I feel even stronger that the choice I made to make MUSIC my career was the absolute correct one. I believe in the Bible principle that it is better to give than to receive. Teaching is a major facet of music that allows me to do this.

As a Music Teacher, my strengths are Patience, Experience and Encouragement. I am a Father of 4 and have had the joy in teaching them Guitar, Saxophone, Basic Theory and more. I have taught at Columbia College Chicago and at School of Rock (NYC/NJ). I currently teach children and young adults how to make simple musical instruments at The Friends of The Family Day Care Center in Mutuchen, NJ as well as producing Creative Sound Workshops at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore and various Sound Art Festivals.

I am a music educator, performer, and student. At the young at of 27 I've has gained many in-depth experiences in the multiple areas of our musical world. I've taken lessons with some of my idols, played venues I had only dreamed of as child, and I am currently managing and performing with my own group MoPhat. With 15 years of experience in playing various musical genres (Jazz, Blues, Rock, Funk, and R&B), l am well prepared to teach aspiring guitarists of all ages and levels.

Guitar studies have been an effective catalyst for learning responsibility, how to communicate clearly, and how to work effectively both in groups and solo. Stephen made his operatic debut in the title role of Gluck's Orfeo in Santa Barbara, CA. Other roles performed in the United States have been Oberon in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream, the title role in John Eccles' The Judgement of Paris and Sesto in La Clemenza di Tito by Mozart. Among the roles sung in Europe were Orlolsky in Fledermaus, Bertarido in Rodelinda and Oberon in Sommernachtstraum. He has been a soloist in many Churches and Synagogues in the United States and Europe. Highlights have been Messiah, Elijah, St. Mathew Passion and Cantorial soloist for the Jewish High Holidays. Yuichi H. was born in Tokyo, Japan. His musical career started at age 10 when he performed marimba in a music recital. He started playing drum set at age 14 and joined a wind ensemble, a few rock bands, and a jazz big band. With some of these groups, he performed at several live music venues in Tokyo. In 1991, he composed the music and performed drums and percussion in a production of Othello, at The Globe Tokyo Panasonic Theater.
In the fall of 1991, with a full scholarship, he attended Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA. He studied jazz drums mainly with Joe Hunt and Jon Hazilla, and orchestral percussion with Dean Anderson. Also, he took many classes in jazz composition and arranging with Gregg Hopkins and Jeff Friedman. A lifelong musician and songwriter, Ian S has extensive experience teaching guitar and piano to students age 3 and up both as a private music instructor and as a teacher at the Institute of Music for Children. With 25 years experience in guitar and piano, Ian has studied and performed with several award-winning music artists, and has written and recorded over one hundred songs. He plays and teaches a variety of styles on both the guitar and the piano, from classical to jazz to rock. Ian is patient, friendly, and loves sharing the gift of music.

Ian was the guitarist in the Princeton University Jazz Ensemble for 3 seasons, was selected from a nationwide pool of musicians to perform at a special music event at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, and was the recipient of the New Jersey Governor's Award in Arts Education for the category of Instrumental Music.

I was born into a musical family in New York City in 1987. I began to study piano at age 6. While in high school, I began devoting more time to the piano, under the guidance a teacher who really helped shape my playing and inspired my teaching methods. I decided during college to pursue a career as a musician. I attended Skidmore College, majoring in music, where I was awarded the Louis Edgar Johns Outstanding Pianist Award. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in music, studying piano with Pola Baytelman and Richard Hihn. During the spring of 2008, I had the fortunate experience of studying abroad in Paris. In addition to the intensive study of French language and culture, I studied piano and composition at the École Normale de Musique. New York city based guitarist and composer Juan C. immigrated to Miami, Florida at age 21.
His work speaks a unique language that blends elements from his early musical experiences in Colombia, as a member of various folk, rock (metal ) ensembles, and his studies in East Asian music fuelled by travels and interaction with musicians and artists in China and Japan.

Juan’s music has been performed throughout South America, the United States and Asia. Although Juan cannot return to his native Colombia, his string duet, “Famous Librarians” (commissioned by Olivia de Prato and Victor Lowrie, was premiered at the Medellín Conservatory of Music.) His piece for electric bass and keyboard, “Glue Pain Ghost,” a collaboration with video artist, Jane Hsu, was invited to a world premiere at the GEISAI Art festival in Tokyo, and the Art Basel festival in Miami.
