Bio for David P.:

At age eight he began formal training with St. Elizabeth’s church organist. At twelve David acquired a drum set and began drum lessons; soon after, his family band was playing regularly for enthusiastic crowds. While attending Xavier University, David continued to play in several groups. At Xavier, David received a degree in music with a focus on music technology. He performed with the Xavier University Choir for four years conducted by the music department chair Helmut Roerig. During the same period David performed with the Percussion Ensemble and studied drums with John Gardner of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra . He studied voice with Harriet Beebe and piano with Rebecca Slater. While studying electronic music at Xavier, David began teaching classes with professor James Hart.

Stacey is a professional soprano known as an active performer in the Cincinnati area. Stacey has sung for 8 seasons with the Cincinnati Opera as a member of the core chorus and sings with Cincinnati's professional chamber choir the Vocal Arts Ensemble. She also sings with the North American New Opera Workshop and ascend voices. Stacey has recently been named as the Director of Artistic Collaboration for ascend voices.

Stacey has taught students of all ages and with various musical styles. Her students have included professional ballet dancers with Broadway aspirations, an 8-year-old girl simply wanting to break out of her shyness, and high school students preparing for College auditions. Her students have been accepted into College music programs, they have been members of the Mayfestival Youth Chorus, the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts, and have traveled to Europe with competitive touring choirs.

I received my Bachelor of Music Degree in Organ Performance from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in June of 2010, studying under Dr. Roberta Gary. I have completed all the coursework for the Master of Music Degree in Organ Performance. I will receive the degree at the end of 2013 after performing one more solo recital.

I began playing the piano at the age of 5, later moving to the organ at 12. I have held a church job since then, working in multiple different denominations and settings. I have a strong background of piano, accompanying, theory, sacred liturgy, and musical performance. I enjoy studying and listening to many genres of music as well as performing them. I am very interested in historically informed performance and understanding different techniques as they are related to the compositional style of different time periods.

Jennifer has a Bachelor's Degree in Music in piano studies from Kent State University. She has been teaching children from age five to adult for over eleven years. She desires to help students learn about music and learn how to make the most of those 88 keys. Previously Jennifer has worked at Long Lake Camp for the Arts as a private piano instructor. She has successfully run her piano studio along with aiding several other music studios teaching dozens of students from various backgrounds.

My name is Mike and I operate out of the Dayton, OH area. I have 11 years experience teaching music in public schools and would love to have you study with me. I am a percussionist by nature, and that's where my expertise lies, but I am able to help out beginning to intermediate guitarists and pianists. Hello. I have been teaching music since the age of fifteen. I would teach note value, rhythm, counting, and different sound techniques on the clarinet. All through high school, I was section leader in band, orchestra, and other organizations outside of Dayton, Ohio. I developed a sense of compassion, patience, and drive. In college I taught beginner- advance clarinet lessons and beginner piano lessons. I believe that God has given me a gift of teaching and I want to share it with others.
