I grew up in a household of 9 where music was always center stage. We would sing as a family in different venues and were often called the VonTrapp family. I have always enjoyed singing and performing from a young age. I began studying flute at age 8, after scoring highest in the harmony listening exam and began formal violin lessons at the age of 9. I studied all genres including, fiddle, classical, musical theater and 20th century. I have continued to study violin since then and performed in many orchestras and small groups, such as Honor Orchestra, the Paradise Symphony, the Yuba College Orchestra, Yuba-Sutter Oratorio Society Orchestra and more. I have been concert master and first stand in many of these. I have also soloed in many and have been the first violinist in quartets for countless weddings and other events. Gaw is a voice artist, music teacher, and arranger local to the Sacramento area, specializing in styles such as Jazz, Pop, R&B, and Classical. She began her music experience with the baritone at age 12, and eventually learned to play the violin, trumpet, French horn, piano, and percussion. She received her B.M. in Vocal Jazz Performance from California State University of Sacramento which she studied under world-class jazz artists Julia Dollison and Kerry Marsh.

Gaw sings locally in various Sacramento venues, such as Shady Lady, JB lounge and Capital Garage. She won multiple Downbeat Awards with vocal jazz ensembles at Sacramento State. She performed with Schola Cantorum under the direction of Don Kendricks. Gaw played brass with the championship level drum and bugle corps, Mandarins and Blue Devils A. She performs currently with the world class choir RSVP (Reconciliation Singers Voices of Peace).
