About Me
I discovered music sifting through my Dad's record collection and soon decided that I wanted to play guitar. As a teenager I began taking lessons and building confidence in my abilities. I played in different types of bands ranging from rock, country, blues, and jazz. After completing College in 2003, I realized music was not just going to be a hobby, but a career. At age 29, I have been teaching and playing guitar professionally for the last six years. I believe that anybody can learn to play as long as they are patient and understand that anything worthwhile takes time and sustained effort to achieve. You also need a good teacher who understands how to take you where you want to go musically. I have taught over a hundred different students of all ages and abilities. I have seen many of them grow musically and gain confidence in other areas of their lives as a result. I aim to inspire every student to find their way to a rewarding life through music.
Student Feedback
Peter C, Peter C's Review
Ben is an amazing teacher, very knowledgeable, skilled and patient, which is a rare combination. I find the next-day feedback extremely useful. The "Great at" comments (while great is stretch in my case) help build confidence.
Ben always gives clear information on what to practice during the week. All in all a great teacher and a great experience so far!
