I taught group piano classes when I was a band director in California. I used three different method books while teaching that course, which was designed by 2 music teachers who are pianists. Lately I've had many more private piano students and have become familiar with even more method books.
I earned a Bachelors in Music Education as a percussionist in 2006 at Mansfield University. I took lessons for 8 semesters with three different teachers, so I have various teaching styles I can choose from. Also, as a music ed major I took classes on flute, clarinet, sax, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, french horn, trombone, baritone, tuba, strings, and multiple piano classes.
