I have been studying music and performing professionally since the age of nine in New York City. In 2007 I started teaching voice, guitar and songwriting in Southern California and performing original music with my band. In 2010 I co-founded the Creative Arts Initiative, a literacy-based program for teenage girls in Sierra Leone, West Africa that encourages self-expression and empowerment through creative writing and the arts. As a kid, I performed off-Broadway and took voice and piano lessons. The problem was that I hated practicing! Scales and repetitive playing bored me to no end, and I felt like I wanted to quit many time. But when I started combining my poetry with my own music, and keeping my body engaged in the process, my life was forever changed. I felt a deeper understanding ...
I have been singing with barbershop quartets, classical choral groups, and contemporary a cappella groups for four decades. I teach the classical approach to the voice, which can be adapted to any style of singing you choose.

Around the age of 12, Jacquie began her training in classical voice. She is well versed in all styles from Opera to Pop and has the unique ability to train others to accomplish their musical goals. As a Coloratura Soprano she has starred in many productions and won prestigious vocal competitions throughout the USA and Europe. Jacquie is an accomplished Contemporary Songwriter ...
When I first begin teaching a student, I tell them that everyone has the ability to sing well no matter his or her experience. I also tell them that there are four things that a good singer must have: breathe control (air is your fuel, and must be used efficiently and effectively to give you the best sound), posture (in order to have access to your air and prevent vocal damage you must practice good posture habits), diction (how you pronounce words when singing can impede or improve vocal tone, as well as help or hinder the audience in understanding the lyrics) and finally and most importantly, passion. Passion is how emotionally connected you are to music and is what really allows the singer to connect with his or her audience.
Hi, my name is Rosalind H. and I began my musical education at the age of ten, when I first started taking lessons. After spending a year teaching children and adolescents aged 6-17 voice and piano while completing my Masters of Arts in Music Therapy at Drexel University, I am now looking to take on private students in Chester County and surrounding areas. I am a Westminster Choir College '11 Alum who graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in Music, summa cum laude.
