Piano, Music Theory, Songwriting, Accordion, Organ
I have been teaching professionally since 1970. I am also a professional (full time) jazz and gospel pianist. I perform primarily in the Phoenix area..but have performances throughout the year..in all 50 states. I have written and produced a musical, "Kleo the Kat", which includes 10 original songs. I have recorded 6 albums..of piano and vocal music. My lessons are diligent, yet friendly. I combine fun and learning. ALL of my students, consistenly comment on my patience..that is because teaching is my PASSION. I enjoy playing and performing, but there is NO fulfillment like coaching children and adults alike, as they learn to create the music within them. I teach all ages. Currently, my youngest is 3 and my oldest is 83!! I have taught over 600 people of all ages to play music. I began taking lessons when I was five years old, and continued private until I was 20. I attended Glendale Community College and Gateway College of Music. Students enjoy taking lessons from me because they learn and are allowed to explore their creative side of music. I customize lessons for my adult students...teaching them to improvise jazz, gospel, country, pop, and blues music. I also write some of the lessons for my students of all ages..if they have a favorite song, and an arrangement at their level cannot be found. I encourage creativity and originality, while emphasizing the importance of theory and structure.

Some of my students performed at the Worlds Fair in New York. My youngest organ student began a professional career at age 7 as a local church organist.
My personal work history includes: 43 years as a Pipe Organist, Minister of Music, Choir Director and Soloist at various churches throughout the USA and abroad.
