With four wonderful years of musical teaching experience, I share my gifts and talents with those who too want to express themselves through music. I believe music is worldwide language and so do not intend to stifle any students individual style or sound with technique. Instead I allow the student to take the lessons and techniques learned and together we find ways to adapt to that style so that their best 'musical picture' is heard.
Apart from teaching, I enjoy singing at my own gigs, doing backgrounds for other artists, and working on new music for production in the studio. I have produced my debut album in 2007 and have released two new singles marketed to the Caribbean/reggae/latin genre. I have directed elementary and middle school choirs and led the musicianship of musicals.
I believe if a student has their talent, dream, and enthusiasm packed in their backpack...then they are ready to start lessons.

I’m currently a few credits away from completing my B.A. at Florida International University with an English Major and Education Minor, specializing in early education and elementary music instruction. While I have spent time in the last couple years working with younger students and studying instructional techniques for reaching younger ages, I still feel equally comfortable teaching children and adults with a fun and enjoyable approach to music.

Scott - Lead Guitar and Vocals - First of all, I love teaching because I have no kids of my own and I have a deep desire to pass along what I've learned. I graduated from the University of Miami's School of Music in guitar. I have played backing guitar for Norwegian Cruise Lines as well as studio and live sessions with several local artists with CD credit. I currently play lead guitar and sing lead for Florida's premiere Pink Floyd tribute band, and am the bassist with a metal band with a worldwide CD release and magazine/internet reviews and interviews. Students have enjoyed my patience and talent playing their favorite songs within 3-6months.

Lorna is a music teacher who has been teaching voice and piano for years. She is a graduate of Florida International University where she earned a Bachelor degree in Music Education. She is lots of fun. Lorna is also a professional singer who sings several genres, which includes opera, jazz, R&B, gospel, pop and music theatre. A student can expect to grow and advance in their instrument of choice while they enjoy learning with Lorna.

My start in music began with trips from a young age to my mom's rehearsals. As a young child my first instrument of interest was the drums and noticing that I wasn't that good (sister playing better) I quickly moved on to other instruments. During my tenth grade year I joined my high school's marching band playing the trombone. I decided to continue the trombone as my primary instrument while in college at Grambling State University. There I was also able to study other instruments such as bass guitar, piano and organ. Going to college in Louisiana, which has such a musically rich environment, allowed me the opportunity to play venues such as casinos, clubs, appear in commercials and even a halftime show for super bowl 32 as well as other NFL games. My goal for teaching music is to give students the discipline to achieve all of their life's goals.

I am currectly a violist at Florida Atlantic University seeking my bachelors in Music Education. I have received the highest honors in state competitions and I have had the pleasure of working with some of the top university orchestras in the southeast, including the University of South Florida Symphony Orchestra and the University of Tampa Orchestra. I have also been fortunate enough to study with some of the great nationally and internationally known Suzuki instructors, whose knowledge and techniques I will share with my students. When I am not teaching, I enjoy music making in my community. But what I enjoy most is being able to teach the delight of music making to my students

Knowing at the age of 5 that music was my life, by being brought up surrounded by praise music and gospel, my early exposure to music helped me to find every Instrument and style just my thing! I wanted to play everything and learn all aspects of music. I started with singing in the children's choir and then developed into piano and music theory. At the age of 12 I began to learn classical guitar, and at 15 took on various styles like Flamenco, Jazz and Rock. I graduated from High School having played in the school band achieving recognition In national Institutions Like IAJE (International Association for Jazz Education) and state band finals. I was also composing from a very early age, and at 18 released my first album (self-titled) which can still be heard and purchased today through various music outlets, since i have released over 15 albums with various ensembles and bands. I love to teach music as much as I love to perform.
As a young girl I began taking private piano lessons which eventually led me to participate in the string program at my Elementary School. Not knowing anything about string instruments I was handed a Cello by the Conductor, and I've been playing ever since!
I joined the local symphony GMYS (Greater Miami Youth Symphony) throughout my highschool career which not only boosted my orchestral playing but was a great motivation to continue playing.
In the midst of my college career I became inspired to share my knowledge of music with young players.
My goal as a teacher is to motivate and inspire students with music whether they're beginning or advanced players, and of any age.

My second joy is performing with ensembles,
