I’ve played keyboards and sang professionally for the last 25 years. During that time my home has been in the San Francisco Bay Area but I have performed all over the country and have toured several times in Germany, Switzerland, and Japan. I’m a two time winner of the West Coast Songwriters “Song Of The Year Award” and I write music and lyrics as well as record and produce songs for myself and others.

Over those years I’ve developed a wealth of knowledge and experience that I’m very excited to share with my students. I want you to tell me what your musical dreams are and we will develop a plan to reach them and I will be honored to guide you there.

After graduating California Institute of the Arts with a multi-focus on several aspects of music including African dance, Indonesian gamelan, songwriting, recording, classical voice and piano, folk guitar, and more, Liz had the excellent opportunity to teach theater to a local musical theater summer youth program. All summer, she taught class sizes ranging from 10 to 26 students of the ages 5-10. Her initiative later led to being hired at this local community theater. Along with this theater teaching experience, she has been teaching piano and voice lessons for over six years. Her students have gone from knowing nothing about music to learning and performing entire pieces on their own. Liz knows that it is her place in the world to teach music and would love nothing more than make learning music a positive and fun experience for everyone.

I love to sing, and I have a passion for teaching students to sing well. I have sung in choruses all my life, and have been inspired by fine conductors and great composers. I am certain that music enlivens my life like nothing else, and it can do that for everyone. Whether you sing in the shower, or in the choir, or with a few friends, or in an opera, you can find your song.

Born in Los Angeles, California, Nancy C. grew up in the Bay Area in Northern California. She began her studies in piano at the young age of four. After a few years of college studying physics, she went into the corporate workfield. Deciding that her corporate career was unsatisfactory, she went back to college to study music. She studied with Ellen Wassermann at CSU Hayward focusing in piano performance where she received her Bachelor's in Music.

Nancy continued her education at CSU Hayward to obtain her master’s degree in 2005. Her focus changed from performance to music composition where she studied with Frank La Rocca. In addition to teaching private piano lessons, Nancy also teaches for the Oakland East Bay Symphony's MUSE program, which brings professional musicians to public schools without music and arts program. With my ability to listen carefully to every student's goals, I approaches teaching music in a knowledgeable, yet intuitive, way - honoring the individuality of each budding musician. Hi my name is Pam.

I am a Sonoma County Music Teacher with TakeLessons.com and currently have openings for private piano lessons in my home studio or yours.

I have taught piano in Sonoma County for over 10 years and spent 1 year teaching at the Napa School of Music. While at the school I not only taught private piano lessons but performed in the faculty band and formed a choir with the vocal teacher as well.

I teach all styles of music, all ages, and all levels of students.

I started taking lessons when I was 6 years old and have been playing the piano ever since. I was classically trained from age 12 through 18 and went on to study music while attending Sonoma State University in the late 80's.

In addition to teaching lessons, I also perform at weddings, private parties, etc. and accompany various musicians on gigs and at Music Festivals around Sonoma County.

I have been involved in music all of my life. As a child I played trumpet in band and sang in school and church choirs. My favorite movies were musicals and they still are my favorite. Music was my major in college, which included singing, dancing, acting and playing musical instruments. I like all types of music. As a school teacher, I taught 3rd. grade through high school, everything from band and choir to musical theater. I also taught private students, of all ages, piano, guitar, voice and most of the wind instruments.

From the moment Kat was tall enough to reach the keys she made so much noise on her family’s piano that they eventually bought a kid-sized version to keep in her room. When Kat turned 7 her family got her the best present ever; lessons with an amazing piano teacher.

Kat also began to study flute several years later and soon realized that music was the life for her. She majored in music in both high school and college graduating with a BA in Music from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin.

Kat has had a very diverse career in music. From a full time private music teacher to the Musical Director of a Burning Man Opera, to the Section Leader for a Youth Orchestra, to the keyboard player in a Theatrical Heavy Metal Band, Kat is always thrilled to stretch her wings and try new things.

I have been a professional performing musician and teacher for going on a decade. I've studied jazz guitar and film scoring at Berklee as well as bass and composition at Lewis and Clark. I've toured across the country several times over, playing everything from jazz to funk, metal to pop. More importantly, I've been teaching privately since high school when I'd bike to students houses around my neighborhood. Since then I've taught at the local branches of School of Rock in Portland, OR, Boston, and New York, teaching privately, coaching ensembles, directing student concerts, and teaching theory workshops. I also have been working to integrate cutting edge digital technology into my teaching practices should students wish to explore contemporary practices. Music has long been my life's love, and my highest hopes lie in in sharing its rewards.

I have a BS in music education received at Lehman College, Bronx, NY. I am a professional musician/ composer/ arranger.I received my teaching credentials at SFSU and have been a General music teacher as well as a, band teacher. I have studied trumpet with Classical ( Wilmer Wise)and Jazz musician (Bill Hardman) and big band arranging with Frank Foster( saxophonist and arranger with Count Basie Band). At present I am retired and teaching privately.

I have been teaching music for over 50 years as well as being a professional musician/ composer and arranger. I not only know my fundamentals inside and out, but also I know many tricks of the trade. Over the years I have developed special teaching techniques that enable students to make sense out of music and progress rapidly on their instruments.I love playing music and aim at stirring that same kind of excitement abut music in my students.
