Highly recommend

My daughter loves taking lessons with Athena. She takes the lessons seriously and expects the same of her students. My daughter is learning a lot and loving it. Athena has helped her feel positive about piano and motivated to practice and learn.
Cassandra W. New York, NY

My style is personable and friendly but serious. Part of the joy of playing a musical instrument is seeing continual progress on a weekly basis.
I teach piano to students of all skill levels and experience, from basic beginners to conservatory level performers.and I have provided the curriculum for and coached dozens of my students through all eight levels of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
I organize and provide yearly studio recital at the end of each year in mid December. Every student has a chance to perform and share his/her music and progress in public. All of my students loved the events!

She must be you teacher!

Cassandra is an incredibly good teacher and performer. She is very patient, which is a great quality when you just start leaning to play the piano (I am sure her ears must suffer). She has a good sense of humor and is very open minded, which helps create a relaxing environment. And yet, she also manages to push you and progress. I can only recommend her.

A musical journey

Cassandra has a seemingly endless reserve of patience that allows her to build each lesson as a musical journey. She has guided me to concentrate on my relaxation, sightreading, proper form, and musical interpretation. It has been my pleasure to explore music with her.

I feel so lucky to find Amanda as my son's first piano teacher. She is great with kids and make my 3 year old boy fall in love with piano now through her great teaching skills and interesting "animal story books" designed specifically for young children to learn piano. It's been only 2 months since Ethan's first piano class with her, and he's already playing with both hands and a lot of kids songs like "twinkle twinkle little star", "London bridge is falling down", "old McDonald had a farm"...Thank you Amanda!

The piano teacher for a lifetime

Amanda is an amazing teacher. I went back to taking piano lessons at the age of 45 and Amanda has been an incredibly patient, generous, intelligent and warm teacher. She is very personable, extremely knowledgeable about music, and the lessons are individually tailored so that I get the most out of them. I have learned so much as her pupil and I am growing (slowly!) as a pianist. Amanda has made this process enjoyable, fulfilling, and yes...fun!

My lessons are fun, engaging and productive. We will work together to improve your:

*breath support
*passaggio (your "passage" to high notes and ability to regularly achieve them)
*vowel formation
*jaw, neck, shoulder and/or tongue tension
*posture
*pitch
*dynamic range
*musicality

About Dr. Daniel

Dr. C. was most recently described by Tim Page with the Washington Post as a “funny, exuberant and enormously likable” Papageno during Summer Opera Theater’s performance of The Magic Flute. Previously, the Post critiqued Daniel in Opera Theatre of Northern Virginia’s Barber of Seville as a “bright and bouncy” Figaro who delivered his lines with “aplomb.” Daniel has performed as a young artist in the Studio Programs of El Paso Opera, Kentucky Opera and Portland Opera. He has sung the roles of Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, Sid in Albert Herring, Figaro in The Marriage of Figaro, Belcore in L’elisir d’amore, Jupiter in Orphée aux enfers, Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus, Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Masetto in Don ...

Dan is an excellent singer and an excellent teacher. Those two don't always come together in the same person in my experience.
Dan is very encouraging and has helped me very rapidly to make improvements after not singing for several years.
The learning process has often been a frustrating experience for me. Dan is very helpful in keeping me focused on what's working so I don't get too fixated on what is not yet working. He helps me with my technique for what isn't working so I hear improvements every week.
I would highly recommend Dan to anyone who wants to learn great vocal technique and build their confidence as a singer!

Dan has been the best experience I've yet to have singing. I come from a background where I always sang a lot, but never properly. In only a few lessons I feel like I've progressed so far from where I initially was, and it shows no signs of slowing down.

Along with this, there's a wonderful low-stress environment when working together. I never feel like screwing up is a bad thing, it's all part of the learning experience and he is extremely motivating and positive throughout.

Can't recommend enough!

Daniel is a fantastic teacher! He has helped me so much in our lessons, I can't recommend him enough. I've really enjoyed his enthusiasm and support in our lessons. He is always encouraging and he challenges me in a way that makes me feel like I can accomplish the goals we've set out in our lessons. What I like most about Daniel's teaching, second only to his enthusiasm, is how clearly he explains often very complicated concepts. He has a way of making singing accessible and has helped me immensely both with my technique and my confidence. I would HIGHLY recommend Daniel to any student from beginner to advanced!

There are some rules to be followed that stage demands, depending on the size of stage and the auditorium. There are some technics to be learnt to turn a stage fright into a constructive energy. I will teach you all of them.

About Margaret

I have been studying with Margaret for the past eight months and since then I was very successful singing at my girlfriend's wedding (Ave Maria) and also at the anniversary of my parents. It was a big surprise since I am a professional accounting manager.
I always loved singing and Margaret helped me to truly enjoy it with confidence. My voice got bigger and stronger. I would strongly recommend Margaret as a voice teacher to students on any level of advancement.
