Hi! My name is Nick R. I'm Originally from California where I studied music composition at UC Berkeley. While there I co-founded the Undergraduate Composers at Berkeley and was also the section leader of 26 piccolos in the California Marching Band.

I have taught elementary through junior high (including choir, band, orchestra, and percussion ensemble) as well as private lessons from kindergarten to senior citizens. I teach oboe, bassoon, clarinet, flute, saxophone, and piano.

My teaching style is based in positive reinforcement with great expectations. I believe in giving constructive criticism without degrading or demeaning the student's character; A student can be built up without being torn down.

I believe that theory is fundamental to understanding music. I expect students to participate actively with questions and thoughtful answers as well as to be prepared with the necessary materials required for learning.

Gregg has been involved in music for almost his entire life. He began with the saxophone in middle school, where he took lessons and played in the school band, orchestra, and jazz band. He was interested in many other instruments at the time; piano and clarinet lessons shortly followed, but he did not develop his skills on guitar until much later. In seventh and eighth grade, Gregg was accepted into the Region II Intermediate Band, an intercollegiate ensemble for middle school students, where he performed tenor saxophone both years.

In high school, Gregg participated in the freshman Concert Band (tenor sax), Symphonic Band (tenor sax sophomore year, bassoon senior year), Wind Ensemble (tenor sax junior and senior years), and the Marching Band (tenor sax freshman and junior years, baritone sax sophomore year). He also took the music theory courses offered at the time, with prefect grades in both of them.

Hello! I am a professional music educator in the Philadelphia, PA area. I graduated magna cum laude from Mansfield University, with a bachelor's degree in Music Education and hold a master's degree in Flute Performance from the University of Connecticut. I have taught all ages of students, from pre-K to adult, a wide variety of instruments. I am a member of MENC (The National Association for Music Education) and Sigma Alpha Iota (Professional International Music Fraternity for Women). In addition to music, I love animals. Currently we have 2 cats, a turtle, and a red iguana that all put up with my practicing and lessons quite well (or they just hide under the bed).
