Really good and patient with my 6yr old even gives him homework to practice until his next lesson
Michael C. Philadelphia, PA

I've been teaching music for 15 years and my students have gone on to play in bands and some even went on to study music in college. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play a few basic rock patterns and as time goes on you'll be able to play fills while also keeping the music steady. I specialize in understanding rhythms and practicing them slowly in order to develop the physical coordination which is needed to be successful on the drum kit. Generally I will make recordings for you to play along with. This makes it easier and fun to practice. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

About Michael

Michael C. was eleven years old when he began to play the electric bass guitar. He decided to get an electric bass because it was the one instrument needed to start a band among his friends. In addition to playing the electric bass, Michael enjoyed time practicing on the guitar and piano in high school. Transferring the knowledge and finger technique to the guitar came easy because of the similarities between guitar and the bass. And growing up with an upright piano in the house always lead to tinkering and eventually became a proficiency after college. In 1996 Michael enrolled at the the Philadelphia University of the Arts. He was awarded a presidential merit scholarship and a university grant based on his entrance audition. During his studies Michael was recruited for a student ...

Pat B. Philadelphia, PA

About Pat

Hi guys, My name is Pat. I am a drummer/percussionist in Philadelphia, Pa. Here's a little about me: Began drumming at the age of 10 (1999) For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to music. More specifically, drum set. I would draw “dream” drum sets in my school notebooks, and write out notation. High school (September 2003) By the time I entered high school, I had begun playing in my first band. It was something that I had wanted to be a part of for years, and it became an identity. I began focusing on jazz drumming in my teens, and began teaching at my local music store in Scranton, Pa while in high school. College/Post College (2007-2014) During my senior year of high school, I joined a band that I still play in. We were/are called Three Man Cannon. Shortly after, I ...
