Welcome to my profile! Thanks so much for taking a moment to look at it. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up in Salem, Oregon with a very musical family. I began playing piano at age 6, viola at age 10, voice lessons came at age 14, and finally, I began taking organ lessons when I was 16. In high school, I accompanied the jazz choir, played in the orchestra and the symphony, and accompanied a children's choir, as well as taught lessons. It was a busy four years! I went to St. Olaf College as an organ performance major, but I couldn't resist the singing bug, and quickly switched to vocal performance. While I was there I took pedagogy classes, which taught me how to be a great teacher! I still look at my notebooks from those classes. I also sang in several operas, traveled to Italy to sing, and met some of the most influential people in my life. I moved to NYC in 2009 to pursue a Master's Degree at Manhattan School of Music. From the iconic piano intro to Patti Smith’s “Because The Night,” to the hook-laden keyboard work on John Waite’s “Missing You,” to U2’s classic album “Achtung Baby,” Bruce has shared his skills as player, performer, writer, producer and arranger with some of music’s most accomplished artists.
After receiving his Bachelor of Music in Composition from Temple University, Bruce went on to teach undergraduate music theory and work on his Master’s degree. During this period, he not only gained extensive experience in conducting, but also was honored to have his “Montage for Orchestra” performed by the Pittsburgh Symphony.
After completing his tenure at Temple, Bruce relocated to New York City where he landed his first marquee gig, as keyboard player for the trailblazing Patti Smith Group, who were about to record their landmark “Easter” album with producer Jimmy Iovine.

I received my Bachelor of Music degree from New York University, and I am working on my Master of Music degree at Manhattan School of Music.

I have performed at many well-known venues including The Blue Note, The Jazz Gallery, The Bitter End, Sullivan Hall, The Garage, Caffe Vivaldi, Miles Cafe, and The Local 269 in New York City; Twins Jazz Club in Washington DC; Trumpets Jazz Club in Montclair NJ; and Chris' Jazz Cafe in Philadelphia.

I have been playing professionally for over 30 years and have taught for over 10. I am proficient on keyboards, guitar, bass, ukelele, as well as lead and harmony vocals and songwriting. My focus is on developing your musical intuition through ear training, and accessing the music within. I have a home recording studio to help with the learning process. I provide a fun, safe, non-critical environment where you can access your inner musician in the most enjoyable way possible.

Many of my students have gone onto become prolific songwriters and musicians and have recorded albums. Even beginners can learn quickly from my method which emphasizes techniques for keeping learning music fun.

Wisconsin cultured in 1983, I was born to a family of teachers and artists. In 1989, I started the Suzuki piano method, which I continued until 2001. As well, I sang high tenor in a barbershop choir, played organ and piano at my Catholic church and was interested in stage acting and musical theatre. But In 1996, my obsession with woodwinds was sparked by discovering my dad's alto saxophone. In 2001, I graduated from the Interlochen Arts Academy in jazz saxophone and piano performance. I then went on to graduate Western Michigan University(BM,‘05) and the New England Conservatory(MM,‘08) for degrees in Jazz Studies.

I currently live in Astoria, NY (Queens), and have a conveniently located studio space available for lessons. I've been active as a performing and recording musician in NYC since 2008, and am enjoying learning more and more about music production. I'm a professional musician currently living in Brooklyn. I graduated from NYU in 2005 with a degree in theory and composition (after completing 2 years as a jazz performance major). I played in the rock bands Arpline and The Kiss Off and recorded for Universal Records. I currently record and perform under the monikers Aeolian, Sandglass and Marlowe Dies. I've been teaching both piano and music theory lessons since 2006 and have had great success with my students, a few of which I even forged mentor relationships with. With my vast knowledge of esoteric and popular music genres (I'm comfortable with folk, death metal, modern jazz, indie rock, hip-hop... well, you get the point. I'm a music obsessive) I believe becoming a total musician should be a goal for any student but I enjoy the challenge that each individual brings to the table

1989-1991 Studied at the YAMAHA Music Academy in Japan. Music theory with teachers: Yutaka Masuda, Yoko Nagata, Kiyomi Ishikawa and Yoshiko Mizuno, as well as electric organ and Suzuki piano performance with: Kazue Nishiwaki, Yutaka Masuda, Yoshiko Mizuno and Schwekendiek Donald Robert.Received license of teacher.

I studied piano at the conservatory of music, university of the Philippines. While I was still studying I was already working as a pianist for a ballet school before working for Repertory Philippines. This is the pioneer theater company in Manila, where I started as rehearsal pianist, then band leader working up to musical director. This varied work background will help me expose my students to different type of music.

My name is Adrian. I am a composer and musician, currently living in Brooklyn, New York. I began taking piano lessons at age 6 and started writing music when I was 11. I received my BA in music composition from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden, and my MM from the Yale School of Music. In 2011, I moved to New York, where I have continued to work, write and perform. I've written many experimental works for ensembles and musicians all over the US and and abroad, as well as performed as a pianist and guitarist in my own works. I also perform on keyboards, bass, guitar and electronics in my band.

Brian has been performing for over 10 years. He is experienced in genres from hip-hop to classic rock, and delivers a style all his own. He is an honors graduate of Berklee College of Music with a dual degree in Music Production and Engineering and Music Business Management. Prior to Berklee, Brian was classically trained as a vocalist by Georgia Marandino. He fine-tuned his skills at Berklee with Joey Blake (performs with Bobby McFerrin). Brian learned guitar and piano from his father a semi-pro guitarist and an educator of educators. As a producer and sound engineer, Brian has worked with musicians spanning different genres and cultures including Grammy Award winning sound engineer Hector Ivan Rosa (Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony, El Gran Combo). He currently offers voice, piano, guitar, and music theory lessons to students of all abilities.

My name is Nicole D. I have over twenty years of teaching experience and began classical piano training at the age of 8 years old.
As a student, I participated successfully in yearly NYSSMA and National Music Guild competitions and recitals.
In college, I was the recipient of the first Ralph V. Ritchie Memorial Music Scholarship at Nassau Community College.
As a member of several original bands, musical projects and solo performance acts, I've played the piano/keyboard, wrote music/lyrics, sang lead and backup vocals or did a combination of the above.
During this time I worked closely with other advanced teachers and musicians to gain other methods, styles and techniques of music.
I'm patient, creative, positive and fun to work with and really enjoy teaching. I'm passionate about passing my love of music along to my students.

I studied with private piano/organ teachers in Philadelphia, PA where I grew up. Then, I went to West Chester University in West Chester, PA in the music education and piano performance program.
I learned to not only be a concert performer, but an experienced teacher in developing fun methods of teaching music, and mentoring my students to live, learn, and experience all that playing music has to offer for all ages.
