About Me
Welcome to my profile! Thanks so much for taking a moment to look at it. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up in Salem, Oregon with a very musical family. I began playing piano at age 6, viola at age 10, voice lessons came at age 14, and finally, I began taking organ lessons when I was 16. In high school, I accompanied the jazz choir, played in the orchestra and the symphony, and accompanied a children's choir, as well as taught lessons. It was a busy four years! I went to St. Olaf College as an organ performance major, but I couldn't resist the singing bug, and quickly switched to vocal performance. While I was there I took pedagogy classes, which taught me how to be a great teacher! I still look at my notebooks from those classes. I also sang in several operas, traveled to Italy to sing, and met some of the most influential people in my life. I moved to NYC in 2009 to pursue a Master's Degree at Manhattan School of Music. I got to work with some awesome musicians...
