I started taking piano lessons when I was 4 and then learned the clarinet and played in the band in middle school. In high school I started playing the viola in the orchestra while still playing in the band. I had the best of all music worlds! In college I played in many school and community orchestras in places like Carnegie Recital Hall and even with the NY Philharmonic Orchestra! Orchestral and Chamber Music are my forte. I have been a string orchestra conductor for 10 years and love to put on a show to be remembered. My students have played at various day cares, nursing homes and shopping malls. We were even on the local Channel 12 News!

Greetings! My name is Christina and I am a recent Rutgers University graduate with a double major in both music and economics. I have had over 12 years of private training in piano, with additional experience in violin, orchestra, choir and various performance-related events. Over the years I have studied with numerous pianists and incorporated many different methods and techniques that have greatly influenced my own teaching. I have been teaching music lessons to both children and adults since high school, and am comfortable teaching any age. I do believe that a solid foundation in any instrument begins with music theory, and it is something I incorporate little by little into each lesson; however, it is very important to me that the learning process be enjoyable, and I strive to ...

I have been teaching a full studio of piano students since I graduated from college in 2009. As a teacher, I truly believe in the importance of kindness and treating my students with respect. In a positive and comfortable environment, all students can thrive. I am laid back, but also hold my students to high standards. I try to make my lessons fun and enjoyable. I believe that each student is unique in his or her learning style, and I work to find a program of study that suits every student.
