During my voice lessons I like to focus on developing the student's voice through a classical approach. By forming a strong foundation in healthy singing the student will be able to sing in various genres without strain to his/her voice.
In my piano lessons I use the series of method books, Piano Adventures, developed by Nancy and Randall Faber. Through these instructions the student will learn to read music as well as establish a proficiency for playing the piano.

Kal was born in New York and began studying piano and then added cello in elementary school. Kal's vast knowledge of the piano and cello repertoire helps his students have fun playing because there is no shortage of wonderful selections to play.

When Kal was in high school, piano performance was always paramount. In addition, Kal studied cello with Nellis DeLay-Harvout, principal cellist of the New York City Ballet Orchestra and sister of the world renown and distinguished Julliard school of Music violin instructor Dorothy DeLay. During high school, Kal played cello in the school orchestra as well as the all county and all state orchestras. Shannon is an active musician, who has been featured as a soloist, and in the flute and woodwind sections with various orchestras, chamber ensembles, opera orchestras and musical theatre within the United States, Italy, and Mexico. She is presently Principal Flute of the Baytown Symphony, Director of the Da Capo Chamber Ensembles, and is a substitute musician with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Monterrey, Symphony of Southeast Texas, and Opera in the Heights.

My name is Adam. My expertise is on composition and improv. I play keyboard, bass guitar, drumset, guitar and I sing. I began taking piano lessons when I started elementary school, and it took a liking to me. I attended performance arts schools here in Houston both middle school and high school. As an early teenager I was in both orchestra for cello and jazz band for electric bass. I excelled quickly and was in a local houston jazz big band named the young sounds of Houston.
