Chuck Millar (Fiddle - Mandolin - Guitar - Bass) with his uncompromising integrity, exceptional talent and unwavering leadership started teaching at an early age of 17; he has continued to showcase his talents on and off stage by helping many new aspiring students to be great musicians and performers. He teaches private lessons on all the following instruments: guitar, violin, fiddle, mandolin, bass, vocal, music theory and song writing.
Currently performing with No Grass Limit, Chuck also plays with the nationally recognized band "Tangled Roots" which has released three recordings "Angel From Montgomery" & Valley Road" & "Life of a Dream". Chuck also released a nationally acclaimed album recorded in Nashville of all original songs with No Grass Limit.
I have extensive experience working both with gifted and special needs students (those with ADHD and autism).
Dave performs and teaches both double bass and electric. He is equally at home with both classical and jazz styles. Dave has both Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in Double Bass Performance from the Juilliard School.
Dave is currently a freelance bassist in the Twin Cities and teaches bass players of all ages/levels. He is a frequent coach for the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphony bass sections and was the bass instructor at the 2013 and 2014 Lutheran Summer Music Academy & Festival. Dave has experience teaching all levels of bass and currently teaches at several Twin Cities locations.
Dave performed full time for about 20 years with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra in New Orleans. He has also performed with orchestras such as Exultate Chamber Choir & Orchestra (principal bass), Duluth Symphony (principal bass), Rochester Symphony, Jacksonville Symphony, Fort Worth Symphony, Virginia Symphony(principal bass), New World Symphony and Music in the Mountains Festival Orchestra among others. Dave recently toured South Korea with three of the original Canadian tenors called "Romanza" and frequently plays around the Twin Cities with his wife in their wedding/event ensemble Arioso Strings.
Cello & Suzuki Cello Lessons
Dave offers both Suzuki Method and traditional style cello lessons.
Dave has played the cello for 42 years and has been teaching it for 22. His cello teaching background includes teaching the low strings (cello and bass) methods course at Southeastern Louisiana State University, cello lessons in many public and private school programs as well as private cello lessons. His cello pedagogy background includes Suzuki Method training at The Preucil School and Ottawa Suzuki Institute.
