Kari K. South Milwaukee, WI

As a violist I naturally picked up the violin as I began to excel in music. 15 years later I have had great success teaching students the violin.

About Kari

*** Travel Equipment ***
The student must have his/her own instrument to practice upon, they must purchase the books/music that I require them to work on, must have a 3-ring binder, and access to the internet where they can look up their lesson history would be preferable.

*** Specialties ***
For strings I am an excellent Suzuki teacher. As for singing lessons, I will definitely work with a student to fit his/her needs and interests. When it comes to piano, I like to screen students to see what method of learning they would take to the best. I don't believe in sticking to one method of teaching for every single student.

Mariah S. Milwaukee, WI

About Mariah

It is my goal to provide a comfortable environment in which students are encouraged to think for themselves. I am interested in my students eventually becoming their greatest teacher, and I will work with my students on every detail to help them find greater ease on their instrument and reach their full potential as musicians. Some students will choose music as a main focus of their lives while others will treat it as a stimulating and constructive hobby. In either case it is possible to develop a discerning musical ear and the chops to go with it. My job is to facilitate that!

*** Lesson Details ***
For beginners I like to use Suzuki Method or Essential Elements depending on the student's age and preference. Fiddle and folk tunes are also accessible to beginners and ...

About Emily

I currently hold a BFA in music education and have been teaching music in public schools since 2010. I play viola with several local groups including the Rock River Philharmonic and the Turtle Creek Chamber Orchestra. I am the keyboardist, fiddle player, and back up singer with the local band Guilty. On Sunday mornings I play piano for Second Presbyterian Church.

I currently have violin and voice students, but I am looking to expand my studio to violists and pianists. I love to teach beginners!
