Hello! My Name is David and I'm here to share my experiences and love of music with you! I had my first solo performance at age 9, joining a local boys choir shortly thereafter. My first local touring experience was at with that choir at 10 years old. At age 12, I started doing Musical Theatre. At 15, I went on my first European tour with my High School Choir, and knew this was without a doubt what I had to do with my life, so I began private voice and piano lessons. After years of involvement in as much Music and Theatre I could get my hands on, I attended Cornish College of the Arts, where I received my Bachelor of Music in 2006.

At Cornish I studied a year of Classical Voice, but most of my time was spent as independent major, splitting my studies between Vocal Performance and Composition. I performed many styles of music from pop, to jazz, to new music, to electronic music, to improvised music, and had my works performed by several notable local ensembles of seasons...

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Contemporary Vocal Performance at the University of Colorado Denver in 2009. I graduated summa cum laude (with highest honors) and won the Outstanding Graduate award from the College of Arts & Media. I even sang the National Anthem at my own graduation, in front of thousands of other graduates and their families, an honor usually reserved for faculty.

While earning my degree, I specialized in singing, songwriting and the recording arts. I also professionally competed in an honors a cappella group. During this time, I took a great deal of leadership and learned how to assist choir directors in warming up and teaching new vocal materials to large groups of students.

I learned how to get involved with my local community through producing musical events and have raised thousands of dollars for nonprofit organizations this way. Students of mine who choose to participate will be exposed to concert production and performance professionalism...

Susanne received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Michigan with honors. For 11 years she taught as a Professor of Vocal Music for the College of Fine Arts with Western Michigan University and for 2 years as a Vocal Music Instructor for Northwest Bible University in Kirland, WA . She taught vocal music classes at the University of Washington during her doctoral studies and has over 25 years experience teaching private voice students from the ages of 15 to 70. Teaching the finer techniques of singing is her passion. "As a teacher, I thrive on helping students achieve their musical goals. Successful singing energizes students also promotes concentration, work ethic and self confidence in all facets of life for both the student and the teacher."
