I am a cum laude graduate of BYU, with a Bachelor's of Music in guitar performance and am currently attending ASU as a Master's student in guitar performance. I have been playing the guitar for 16 years and teaching for 10. My main style is classical, and due to the technical training I have had since I was very young, it has been very easy for me to learn and master other styles such as Rock, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Country, and other styles of guitar. I have a passion for performing and have played hundreds of solo and ensemble concerts. As a classical performer I was the Oregon State champion in their guitar competition for both 2005 and 2006. I love music! To me, it truly is a universal language, and nothing else can capture and express emotion quite like it. Ever since I picked up a guitar 15 years ago, I've been on a quest to learn and speak the language of music. One discovery I have made along the way is that I love teaching it to others, too!

Over the past 10 years, I've been busy immersing myself in music. The excitement of performing live on stage, the pride of writing a song that touches someone, the reward of watching a student learn something new—these are the things that fuel my passion. My dream is that my students will one day be able to experience these things!

I've been teaching guitar lessons for over 5 years, and I just recently graduated from ASU with a B.S. in psychology. Also, I am co-founder, producer, and engineer at an independent recording studio in Mesa, AZ. This broad range of experience makes me confident that I have lots to offer for every student, beginning to advanced.

I've been playing guitar since I wans 9 years old and teaching guitar since I was 14. I grew up playing in bands with friends. My parents would drive us (and a ton of equipment!) to wherever we were playing, which was sometimes 50 to 200 miles from home! I later did studio work and played as a solo entertainer. I also studied acting while in college, so being on stage and performing is very comfortable for me.
I have extensive experience in teaching both individuals and groups with regard to several different venues, including guitar, bass guitar, acting, public speaking, songwriting and studio recording.
I also provide a unique service that my students tell me is very helpful. I record instructions, or demonstrations, and email them to you - on the spot! This way you don't get home and wonder "Now how did that go?" or, " How was I able to do that?" You just open the email and listen to it – whenever you like!

My name is Andrew, and I've been a musician nearly my entire life. I'm currently working on a bachelor's degree in classical guitar performance. My performance experiences range from playing violin in my high school symphony orchestra to playing lead guitar in a Santana cover band, and just about everything in between! My name is Lou and I have been playing guitar since the age of 14. I was a manager at Colorado's largest music store retailers'. Quite often, I have been the one behind the scenes either teaching, recording, engineering, or running live sound.
I started teaching when I was 18 years old, it just seemed I had an ability to make sense out the guitar. I understand after years of teaching what motivates and helps students get to their goals. My experience has made balancing the repertoire of challenging material with realistic outcome, a high priority. Students making progress while having fun is the ultimate goal!

I started taking piano lessons at the ripe age of 4, but I quickly found my calling on the guitar. At the age of 20, and with 13 years of playing experience, I graduated from the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery (guitar building), after building both an acoustic and an electric guitar and receiving repair certification from Fender.
I later completed my Bachelor’s Degree of Music in the field of classical guitar performance, at ASU in 2007.

In the spring of 2011 I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Popular Music Performance Program at The University of Southern California. I studied classical composition before I switched to Pop Music, and Double Bass before switching to Guitar. I love learning and I love teaching; sharing what I've learned is the most rewarding.

I first picked up the guitar my junior year of high school, and 14 years later have since moved on to drums and bass guitar as well. I have mastered many different styles and played in several bands and continue to perform at local venues today. I have studied the works of a range of professional artists like John Petrucci of Dream Theater, Paul Gilbert and Thomas Lang on the drums to name a few. I have been teaching a wide range of students, both young and old with great results for over 7 years. Ive taught a 10 year old to play both guitar and drums all the way up to a 45 year old how to have better control on guitar.
