John was born and raised near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He began playing the guitar and composing music at the age of twelve. From 2002 to 2004, John attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he studied classical guitar performance and became the guitarist for the University Jazz Ensemble. John transferred to Berklee College of Music in the fall of 2004. At Berklee, he performed in guitar quartets and quintets and majored in Composition. He will receive his Bachelor's Degree in May of 2011.

I have been teaching music both in a k-8 public and charter school setting for 7 years and my private studio was started over 10 years ago. I am most passionate about helping my students discover their passion and working with their own interests to foster their abilities. That means I work with all styles of music. From Chopin to Led Zeppelin to Selena Gomez. I cater each lesson to the specific and unique needs and interests of my students. Music is Fun! I use my tools and experiences to help students reach their own goals, whether that be to perform professionally, to sing with their friends, compose their own music, etc...That means that some students will be very serious about their improvement and others will be somewhat casual, though all will be learning at the speed and temperament they like most. Josh L. is currently the worship and youth pastor for Powerhouse Ministries in Folsom. He has belonged to numerous punk rock and metal bands throughout the years and has had the pleasure of touring with bands such as MXPX and Prescription. Josh is well versed in most popular styles including classical and blues. He has been teaching music in the Folsom community for the past 6 years.

My name is Sean W. and I've been a multi instrumentalist for 23 years! I've performed opera as a soprano, Rock, funk, punk, metal, and Jazz on guitar, bass, and drum-kit. I find being able to accompany my students on other instruments to be an indispensable tool.

I my elementary years I attended a music school. There I performed "classical styles" as a solo soprano and classical pianist. My experience included performing opera with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and smaller "gigs", like weddings and seasonal concerts. I still to this day value my classical training.

In 2005-2009 I attended Berklee College of Music as a Bass Principal, majoring in Contemporary Writing and production. My experience here was amazing! I'm Esther, a very enthusiastic musician. I started out teaching myself piano and singing in a choir at the age of 9. I moved to the U.S. in 1992 and studied music for 10 years receiving my B.M. & M.A. in music at California State University of Sacramento. I studied and trained with Claudia Kitka & Jackie Victorino for voice and Kirsten Smith, Joan McDe, & Angel Mamn for piano. I have performed many solo concerts in the U.S. as well as South Korea.

I find a student's strengths and weaknesses using various ways to encourage each student. I am very patient, kind, flexible, and enthusiastic and I love working with children as much as adults. I strongly support basic skills: sight-reading, pitch and tone.

I have 26 years experience teaching kids and adults private piano and 6yrs voice coaching (early period to contemporary). I speak fluent Korean and English.
