About Me
Thomas M. earned a B.M. in Vocal Performance from Furman University and a M.M. in Vocal Pedagogy from the Boston Conservatory, where he studied voice with Sara Goldstein and vocal pedagogy with Kevin Wilson, and he taught both classical and contemporary voice lessons at the Boston Conservatory Vocal Academy. While attending Furman, he studied voice with Bruce Schoonmaker and Trudy Fuller, and he studied vocal pedagogy with Bill Thomas, participating in master classes with Sergei Leiferkus and Betsy Bishop. He participated in the Furman Singers, Chamber Choir, and Bell Tower Boys (a student-lead a cappella choir).
As a soloist, Thomas has performed with the Furman Opera Theater, The Boston Conservatory Opera, Marsh Chapel at Boston University, and at the Lyrique-en-Mer opera festival in Belle-Île-en-Mer, France, and he has an upcoming engagement singing Alidoro and covering Dandini in Boston Opera Collaborative's August 2013 production of La Cenerentola .
