At the age of 4 I began producing musicals in my basement with my sister. This progressed to acting classes, piano lessons, and eventually the school musical in sixth grade. I began taking voice lessons when I was in eighth grade and have never looked back. Through high school, I focused on both classical and musical theatre genres, having leads in high school and community musicals and operettas. While attending the University of Delaware, I majored in Applied Music: Voice and had the privilege of performing lead roles in Sweeney Todd, The Pirates of Penzance, The Marriage of Figaro, and Die Fledermaus. In addition, I performed two recitals. I was also fortunate enough to be a member of the University of Delaware Chorale, traveling to both China and Spain for tours and competitions.
I took my first pedagogy class at UD and began teaching voice lessons at the Community Music School during my junior year. This past year I did graduate work at the Pennsylvania State University in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy and maintained a private voice studio. I love teaching and helping students reach goals! With my thorough pedagogical training and varied performance experience, I have a great deal to offer my students.

I believe that music is a joyful gift that is meant to be shared, and I have dedicated myself to sharing that gift throughout my career. I currently teach piano and voice lessons to children and adults, and while I teach lessons to all students, I specialize in working with the special needs population. Before teaching lessons, I received my Bachelor of Arts in General Music at Eastern University and studied voice under Charles Smith, Dr. Youngsuk Kim, Dr. Jean-Anne Teal, and Christine DeVault. I have performed in musicals, operettas, operas, and recitals, as well as performed as a guest soloist with different choirs and theatre companies in the northeast region of the United States. In addition to voice, I have studied piano under Dr. Nancy Boston, Dr. Mark-Daniel Schmid, and the late Dr. Douglas Crowder. I continue to find joy through new opportunities presented to me as both a teacher and student of music.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Lehigh University. I have studied abroad in Ireland at the Gaiety School of Acting, as well as participating in workshops run by the world renowned Tectonic Theatre Project. I have experience as a director, actor, designer, and technician, and can give students an overall view of the world of theatre.
A musician has an instrument, an artist has an array of tools to visually express themselves, an actor has but the body and mind. As such, my lessons are geared towards not only strengthening knowledge of craft, but knowledge of self. When the student is strengthened in this way, these lessons assist not only on the stage, but in everyday life. Text is added last, so the actor may understand their flexibility, rather than being subjected to roles that inhibit them them from making bold choices.
I encourage students to find their own voice, rather than implanting my voice into them. Each of them has amazing and unique potential, all they need is to be shown their strengths.
