Music began for me extremely young ( age 4 ) first with piano, then with trumpet and saxophone. During High School my speciality changed to Trumpet and focused on that instrument.
During my time playing I have enjoyed being a section leader and playing for many great ensembles that bridged many genres including Classical, Jazz, Rock, Funk, Blues, Pop, as well as Orchestral.
My teachers have included many trumpet professionals including Barry Perkins and Dave Evans. I have also been influenced by and attended masterclasses by Wayne Bergeron and Malcolm McNab among others.
I have made the focus of my life music and I love playing and teaching music and I love meeting new people.

Robert , from Santa Clarita, California, went to Valencia High School. During his time there he studied with John Roberts and participated in a Hollywood summer jazz program called Jazz America with Richard Simon and Roger Neumann. While still in high school, Robert joined the PCC Honor Rose Parade Band, which marched in the Parade.
After high school, Robert went to California State University, Fullerton where he studied with Robert Sanders on his main instrument of Bass Trombone. While Robert was at CSUF, he played in many of the groups including but not limited to: Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Orchestra, Brass and Trombone ensembles.
While in college, Robert had the honor of being in the 2009 CSU All-State Honor Jazz Band and during that summer he was invited to play in the Disneyland All-American College Band. The final year of Robert's college life ended with a trip to Portugal to play in and around the capital city of Lisbon with the Wind Ensemble.
After college, Robert was hired as a sideline trombonist for the upcoming Warner Bros movie, "Gangster Squad." After that Robert joined the Shen Yun performing arts and traveled around the Pacific Rim to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand. After the four month tour, Robert joined the staff of the Chance Theater in Anaheim to play "West Side Story."
Since then, Robert has moved to Santa Clarita and is now teaching privately. He is still actively playing throughout the greater Southern California area with many different groups.

To say that music is a passion of mine would be an understatement. It is my true escape, my therapy, my bliss.
And, what do I love more than playing it? Teaching it!
Music lessons are an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the peace of mind that comes with learning and perfecting an instrument.
I consider it a privilege to work with others on their musical journey. That is why I spent years training to teach and I now spend hours preparing for my music lessons each week.
I want to help you take your musicianship to its full potential.

My goal as a teacher is to make music enjoyable and educational for any student. I meet each of my students at their level and my passion is to ensure that all of my students' musical dreams come true.
I have studied classical guitar and saxophone since 1999. I continued my studies of both instruments while at university. While at UNT, I learned how to play all of the wind and percussion instruments and I studied piano as well. I have played in several bands and I have recorded three albums with those various groups (all original music).

-10 years of private teaching experience; I have taught 100 students since opening my private music studio. I have taught students as young as 6 and as old as 48. I also personally believe that you are never too old to start learning an instrument!

I am a middle school band and orchestra teacher and brass musician with performance experience on horn, trumpet, and euphonium, as well as voice. Some of the ensembles I have performed with include the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Masters Orchestra, and Crown City Symphony. I also coordinate the Los Angeles Hornsaplenty Christmas event and invite my students to participate in it as well as TubaChristmas in Los Angeles or Anaheim, because if you don't enjoy playing your instrument, you shouldn't keep playing it!
I hold a BA in music education and a teaching credential from California State University in Northridge, and have studied with Roy Poper (studio trumpeter), David Washburn (trumpet for California Philharmonic and LA Chamber Orchestra), and Brian O'Connor (studio hornist). For this reason, I tend to favor methods from James Stamp and Vincent De Rosa, but feel that every lesson plan should be tailored to the individual student's needs.
With nearly a decade of teaching experience in the Los Angeles Unified School District, I have guided many students in playing various instruments and continue to dedicate my time and energy to refining my instructional delivery so that it makes the trickiest concepts clear in the students' mind.
Singing, Spanish, Music Performance, Music Theory, Trombone, Tuba
I'm finishing my second year of college at Cal State Fullerton, majoring in musical composition and performing in one of its top wind ensembles and its choirs. I have taken lessons under Bob Sanders and Mike Hoffman from the pacific symphony orchestra and the legendary Jim Nova for trombone lessons. For singing i have been with Dr. Robert Istad, and Chris Peterson. I am also studying under Dr. Walicki composition and theory. I really know my way around a trombone, voice, and music theory and i have the knowledge to make you better!
Lessons will be challenging because not only will i work on what you are good at i will also work on what you need the most help on. Though the lessons will be challenging i can tell you now that i will make sure you improve drastically. I have the tools to teach you Tuba, Trombone, Baritone, Singing or theory so that you can take the information with you and apply it to whatever you want to do in whatever style of music you want to perform.
Anyways, you should take lessons from me because i will NOT teach you how to PLAY, i WILL teach you how to PERFORM. You will become better and you will definitely enjoy the lessons, i have a unique teaching style and am very friendly, so you will have a blast while you learn.
