My name is Justin. I have been playing guitar for over a decade. I started out as a self-taught musician, but then decided to study music at the college level. I received my BA in music from the Claremont Colleges. I studied guitar performance under the guitarist Jack Sanders.

Post-college, I was hired by New Heights Elementary as an after-school music teacher. I created a music program consisting of music theory, piano, guitar and composition that brought music to kids in low income situations at our school. My after-school program is very successful and I absolutely love being with kids. I have experience mainly teaching children from ages 8-14, but also have experience with adolescents and adults. I have been teaching at New Heights for the past two years.

I'm an experienced musician and music teacher who has played piano, guitar, bass and drums in many different professional projects over the years and provides lessons on all of these instruments. Stylistically, I'm also very diverse, and can play and teach rock, jazz, folk, classical and flamenco.

I am a professional teacher/studio musician/performer/producer with over 17 years of private teaching experience and a graduate of the University of Miami Studio Music and Jazz program in 2002 specializing in the guitar.

I attended the Berklee School of Music in Boston, and I have a BA in Music. I am a working pro musician, regularly playing all different kinds of gigs with different bands, as well as solo, and regular gigs on TV. I have taught music lessons, and guitar in particular, for 17 years. I play all styles, but my favorites are Rock, R&B, Country, Rockabilly, and Blues (I also enjoy playing jazz, classical, and other styles as well).
