Hello! My name is Tayler and I am a professional singer/actor/dancer. I graduated from USC's School of Theatre with a bachelor's degree in Theatre with an emphasis in musial theatre. I have been trained in bell canto opera as a singer for over ten years, have danced in and choreographed over 50 musicals, and have been acting in musicals and plays for 14 years. As a student over the years, I have so loved learning and discovering my crafts! As a teacher, it is my desire to take what I have learned and to instill the same knowledge and passions of this wonderful industry into the students that I teach. My belief is that learning the core of all these trades can train you to do any style, and I believe my training will do exactly that. For example, I was trained in opera, and with that core training, my main profession is singing and I perform in all styles: folk, jazz, blues, classic rock, gospel, opera, top 40's, you name it! I have toured with bands throughout the country and have worked with many professional singing companies and recorded for many artists. I believe the best way to be a triple threat and to be versatile is to learn what will keep you healthy and support your instrument to give you longevity and to ensure that you are singing, dancing, and even acting in a way that will keep you doing it! If you are interested in this kind of training, please contact me! thank you so much!

My musical career has taken me around the globe from Japan, to the Caribbean as well as numerous cities in the U.S. and Europe! A New York City native, I graduated James Madison University's renowned music program, and began work in musical theatre, playing such roles as Z.’s Favorite in The national tour of “The Will Roger’s Follies, Sandy in “Grease,” and Velma Von Tussle in “Hairspray” regionally, to name a few. I then went on to tour the world with a cabaret show opening for legends such as Nell Carter and Neil Sedaka, and it has been a fantastic journey so far!
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to sing most genres of music from gospel to pop and have a passion for encouraging students in their talents, singing the styles of music they love! I believe we are all so very unique, and there is a reason we are drawn to certain types of music over others, so let's work on what we love! As an actor I also have a background in improv comedy, and believe developing your gifts should be fun!

To those that wonder- if she is so great then why is she teaching?! Well, my goal in life has always been- to make my income as a musician. In my early years I DID IT-- I was successful as a back up singer with Rod Stewart, Julio Iglesias and others. Then I did receive a recording contract with 3 CDs out with the GEFFEN label and then I became a HAS BEEN that never really was;-) I wish I had someone like me- teaching the stage presence, how to hold a microphone!, how to confidence with my singing and playing EVERY day and build on it. And the music business itself! So I have a WEALTH of knowledge to share for YOUR benefit and maybe some current networks to get you to be successful with YOUR hopes and dreams in music too!
Dream, but ACT on those dreams so you have NO regrets. Those who can DID and NOW they teach;-)
My passion for music and teaching goes way back when I wrote my first song at age 9 about an American Indian girl- I HAVE NO INDIAN BLOOD IN ME- but somehow I felt a connection- possibly something I learned at school or on TV. That experience- it changed and improved the evolution of my maturing through today. I was able to express my thoughts and facts I have learned through a song! Musical instruments- I played the guitar and piano on that first recording and my voice; and wrote out the lyrics and music notes! It gave me such confidence in myself. I felt I had achieved a great deal and won some educational contests and received great respect from my teachers.
Having the skill, experience and desire to share these forms of expressions with others is my goal in life. Music has helped me overcome sad times and enjoying great times. Also, still gives me a wonderful income! Music brings memories to those whom have lost all their memory. Music is the greatest form of emotional and physical therapy as I have learned by assisting those in the hospital. It helps all ages of my students focus, relieve anxiety about exams, have a way to give a gift when no other can be found or purchased, and to express their suppressed emotions in a way that brings joy---and anger disappears or at least neutralizes:-)
