Hi! My name is Jennifer J. I just graduated with my masters in music from the University of Redlands. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Through my college career, I was able to perform in many musical productions. Some of these roles include: Yvonne in Miss Saigon (Louisiana Lyric Opera), Mother in Hansel and Gretel (University of Louisiana at Monroe), Erma in Anything Goes (University of Louisiana at Monroe), Euridice in Orfeo ed Euridice (University of Redlands), and Suor Angelica in Suor Angelica (University of Redlands). There are many performance coming up this year, also!
During my time in Undergrad, I had the opportunities to study abroad for two summers. I was accepted into University of Miami's Salzburg program (2009), and the following summer did Westminster Choir College's Florence Voice Seminar (2010). Throughout both of these experiences, I was able to work with world renowned teachers and coaches. These programs helped me grow as a teacher and a performer.
I am a member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing)
With the experience I have, I hope to start teaching you someday!

I have a diverse, mixed-up, wonderful background. I have wanted to do something with music and performance since I was 3-years-old. I have been able to foster that goal through work in the professional film and television industry as well as professional theater (and no, the word is not misspelled despite what spell-check would have you believe and I would love to explain why.). However, my greatest love has always been teaching. My education includes training in theater, film, television, music, voice, and communication. I received my BA in Fine Arts and Humanities from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and my MS in Communication Studies at Texas Christian University. I am currently employed full time as a performance studies teacher at a local charter school, using music and theater to reduce communication anxiety in students. I am a member of the the Texas Music Teachers Association and attend frequent training and events to keep my skills current. My greatest teachers, however, have always been my students!

I believe you can sing! Whether you’re a beginner wanting to find your voice, or a more experienced singer looking to further refine your natural talent, I’ll be there with you every step along the way.
I began singing in choirs in the third grade. In middle school, I had a very enthusiastic and supportive sixth grade choir teacher who encouraged me to see where music would take me. By 2000, I had also taken up the violin with a private teacher. I took my first private voice lesson in 2004, and began to benefit immensely from the personal attention and support that lessons provide.
I later studied at Texas Tech University, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. In my time at Tech, I was a member of the Symphony Orchestra, Women’s Chorus, University Choir, Madrigal Singers, Jazz Ensembles I/II, Lubbock Moonlight Musicals, and studied privately under several incredible faculty members. My favorite musical experience in college was singing with the University Choir at Carnegie Hall in May of 2010.
I continue to play violin and currently use my classical training to teach choir, voice, and mariachi violin at a public high school in the Dallas area. When I’m not teaching or performing, I enjoy practicing yoga, riding bikes, spending time with my fiancÚ, making jewelry, and learning Spanish.

I am a singer-pianist. Or a pianist-singer. :-)
I have a bachelors degree in voice performance and a minor in piano and theater.
I have a masters degree in voice as well as a second masters in piano literature.
i have a certificate in comedy improvisation from Second City and am a professional actor.
My post graduate work is in vocal pedagogy.
I have been a professional teacher and performer for over 20 years. My students come in every model imaginable - and I wouldn't have it any other way. Raw beginner or veteran actor or musician, professional recording artist, College music major or American Idol wannabe.
The arts are such a great language for communicating. I grew up with two parents who were professional musicians (mom is a concert pianist) and I also raised 3 children who are professional musicians. We made music our native language in our home. We all have the ability to speak music when it is spoken to us. I don’t ever remember not playing the piano. I started winning piano competitions in high school. I minored in piano, and then did additional post graduate work in piano. I “speak” piano. It has served me so well as a teacher, composer, opera coach. It is really a gateway to understanding all other instruments. The same scenario with my singing.
I began my professional career as an opera singer which has taken me around the world. I have premiered works by Leonard Bernstein and Samuel Adler in addition to principal roles and concert work with Pittsburgh Opera, The Pittsburgh Symphony, Dayton Opera, the Tuscia Opera Festival and hundreds of professional engagements. I have also had the wonderful opportunity to belt the National Anthem for several major league teams in a television appearance- and has done so on multiple occasions. (Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Reds) I am passionate about vocal jazz and musical theater and am frequently found as a performer in various national and regional venues. Feature concert works include PBS (Gershwin in Concert) as well as featured solo concert works (Pergolesi Stabat Mater) on Italian Public TV.
My approach to music has always been to do what you love. I have never limited myself as a performer to a genre or an instrument. I have explored, applied myself to and enjoyed a very diverse musical career. If you have a passion for an instrument or style of music let's start there first... and then let's discover together all the things you do that uniquely define your musicianship style.
"Steven is very professional and extremely helpful. He always has a smile on and is serious about helping you phrase the music. I would highly recommend him to anyone."
"It's been really exciting so far! Jordan has been so helpful, so knowledgeable. I could not have found a better instructor and I'm getting better and better every day."
"My daughter's wedding was weeks away and I had never been able to dance a step. With Jenny's help, I came further than ever before in such short time in any subject."
