Now introducing the Epic Music Mastery Game! A full fledged competition between yourself and other students where you can earn experience points, level up, win prizes, learn and advance your skills in the process!
Dear aspiring singers (pianists see below): I firmly believe that with the right training, anyone can sing! We all have the instrument built-in after all! Are you tone deaf? I can fix that. Crack on high notes? I can fix that. Nasal? Hoarse? Can't hold long notes? All of these are common vocal problems that can be easily be solved through guidance and practice. Trust me, no one ever regretted taking voice lessons!
For my piano friends: How often do you sit down at a piano and wish you could just place your hands on the piano and magically create beautiful music? Piano is a challenging skill, but certainly not impossible. Learning to play the piano, even if it's never mastered, is such an incredible joy. Learning piano helps you to improve so many other skills as well, such as singing, any other instrument, and even math!
About Me: After completing my Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance at North Park University in Chicago, I moved here to NYC in 2010 to pursue my loves of music, acting, and education. Currently, I work as a Teaching Artist through Wingspan Arts, act in short films, and sing in concerts, operas, and musical theater productions around the city. I have been teaching acting, modeling, voice, and piano to children and adults of all ages for the last seven years. My goal is to professionally fuse my passion for music, theater, and education while continuing to learn, grow, and share the beauty and magic of the arts with others.
In my free time I enjoy movies, Broadway shows, cooking, and exploring all the delicious wonders New York City has to offer! I miss Chicago pizza, but NYC sure knows its way around a cupcake!

Music has been the focal point of my life for as long as I can remember. I received my first piano (toy) at the tender age of 1 and started playing piano by ear at the age of 3. I continued down that path for a while and also started singing in choir until my parents could afford lessons. When I was 10, I began taking piano lessons and things just took off from there. When it was time to go to High School, I got involved in multiple choirs, theatre in school and continue my community theatre, I was writing music, and taking theory and I also began to teach lessons to beginner piano students. After High School, I went to Concordia College (NY) for Vocal Performance and began studying voice. I was very strict in my opera studies for most of my 4.5 years on campus and branched off during my last year to focus on music education, music theory, and piano. I graduated in 2004 with a bachelors degree in Music. Through the years to follow, I continued to teach both piano and voice privately and through various camps and music schools. I then went on to get a masters degree from Mercy College in education (elementary, middle and special) in 2008. Music is my passion and I love to share it with the world. I hope to be able to do that for you!

I have sung for the annual Broadway on Broadway Concert in Times Square, Broadway Sings for Toys and the Fred Ebb Awards. Recently, I was seen at The Maltz Jupiter Theatre as Hope in Anything Goes, and in the title role of the musical, Gypsy, in the premiere production of the new North Shore Music Theatre, as Mary Poppins in the televised 2010 IKEA Thanksgiving Day Parade and the 2011 Walt Disney World Christmas Parade.
Previous to my Broadway debut, I performed a concert of Marc Blitzstein music at The Kennedy Center for their celebration of A New America: The 1940's and The Arts. I sang with George Hearn in A Tribute to Stephen Sondheim with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and performed with Stephen Schwartz in The Music of Stephen Schwartz for the Andrew Carnegie Society.

Other regional credits include such roles as "Maria" in Sound of Music, Christine in Yeston’s Phantom, Julie Jordan in Carousel; "Magnolia" in Show Boat; Emma in Jekyll & Hyde; Fiona in Brigadoon and Elaine in Arsenic and Old Lace.

Hi there! Whether you're seasoned musical theatre singer looking to build an audition book or a complete beginner wanting to learn the basics of vocal technique and singing in public, then I'd love to be your teacher and help you on your way!
I am an actor, singer, composer, and musician, and I live in New York City. I graduated from the New York University drama program, and studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and Stonestreet Studios. I've had many incredible teachers over the years who taught me to show up, listen well, work hard, respect everyone, practice your craft, have fun, and love what you do! They inspired me to become a voice teacher myself (both large group and individual), counselor, music director, and instructor.
I have taught a wide variety of musical theatre, elementary acting, music theory, and a cappella classes over the years, specifically at Middlesex Summer Arts Program and at Concord Youth Theatre (in Concord, MA). In these settings, I have focused on giving private instruction to each pupil, no matter what age or experience level. I have also music directed full-length shows, cabarets, and music groups, and worked as a rehearsal accompanist/pianist for musicals, concerts, and voice lessons (such as for Vocal Performance majors at NYU Steinhardt). In addition to teaching and directing, I spent eight years playing the trumpet, and have performed in wind ensembles, orchestras, chamber groups, concert bands, parade bands, and rock groups.
As a actor/singer, I''ve performed in over fifty different musicals both in New York and Massachusetts (my home state), including three Off-Broadway musicals, and been a member of various madrigal groups, full-scale choirs, and a cappella groups. Over the years, I've sung music in almost every genre that exists, from Renaissance to Billy Joel to Armenian to Mozart.
